Elizabeth Silverstone just wants to be free, to have the choice to choose. But thanks to her mother's actions she is thrust into a world unlike any other, and with the threat of an ancient evil threatening all it seems as she doesn't get that. With new friends, by her side, will she be able to choose to save her new home? Or will she choose to lose it all?
Some stories don’t just unfold… they pull you into their web and refuse to let go.
The Fate Maker is rich with destiny, tension, and that irresistible feeling that every choice matters. The world-building is immersive without being overwhelming, and the magic system feels purposeful—like fate itself is a living, breathing force shaping every moment. I loved how the story balances mystery and emotion, keeping you guessing while still grounding everything in the characters.
The characters are layered and flawed in a way that makes them feel real. Their struggles with fate, free will, and consequence hit deeper than expected, and the emotional weight builds quietly until you suddenly realize you’re completely invested. The pacing keeps you turning pages, and just when you think you understand the rules of the world… it shifts.
This is one of those books that lingers after you close it—making you think about destiny, choice, and what it really means to shape your own path. If you love stories where fate isn’t just a concept but a challenge to be faced, this one is absolutely worth the journey
Fate Maker pulled me in way faster than I expected. Elizabeth Silverstone is the kind of character you root for instantly, and watching her go from wanting a normal life to being thrown into danger kept me hooked the whole time. The story balances action, emotion, and mystery in a really satisfying way.
I loved the worldbuilding and the way her choices kept raising the stakes. Every chapter had something that made me want to know more. And the characters she meets along the way? They feel real, layered, and easy to connect with.
If you like stories about destiny, danger, found friendships, and a heroine who refuses to give up, this one is definitely worth the read. I’m excited to see where the rest of this series goes!
This is really nice read! I loved all the characters and the world they lived in. It has a unique twist to it! The FMC is from the human world and meets the prince in a parallel dimension! His world has castles and magic and demons etc. She is shot twice at an event by her mother and is taken by the prince to his world has castles. The prince ask her if she wants to stay or go back to her home! She stays and the adventure begins! Not giving away the good parts to come! This is the first book published by S.B.Strickland! She did a wonderful job writing this book! Give her some love and support her!
Fate Maker surprised me in the best way. It’s a heartfelt, immersive fantasy about a young woman thrown into a world of danger, magic, and political tension. Elizabeth is a relatable heroine with real grit, and watching her grow into a leader. A slow-burn romance that genuinely delivers and kept me turning pages. Elizabeth's story captured my heart from the very start. She was very relatable, and so easy to root for. I was OBSESSED with the dress maker, and adored the little Cinderella moment they had. The author level of detail is in matched, you can see everything so vividly through her story telling. There are moments that had me at the edge of my set, but majority of the book had just a feel good lived in feel to me. The ending make my heart SWOON!!!! I would highly recommend this book for anyone that was a quick heart warming fantasy with just a dash of action
From the very first line, Elizabeth Silverstone’s journey hooked me. The mix of personal struggle, ancient evil, and a vividly imagined new world makes this story impossible to put down. I love how it’s not just about fighting darkness, but about the power of choice and finding your place in a world you never expected. When I read the description of this book I was instantly curious and wanted to dive into the story. I am so glad that I did. From the first chapter I was hooked. The story of wanting acceptance from family to multi-dimensional twists take you to a dream like fantasy with the budding romance filled with banter and the growth of love. The author is extremely talented to be able to create a story to be able to allow me to escape reality and dive into a fantasy world headfirst and to be able to make the characters relatable shows the talent. While reading I was able to find a beautiful love story that made me laugh and feel the twists as if I was in the story. I recommend and I look forward to all future works from this gifted author.
