Hunger, greed, addiction and lust can always stand in the way of success. I Used To Love Her is a hip-hop love drama full of lies, deception and murder. Trey Eight, a budding rap star and member of the group Hustle Kingz, struggles to claw his way to the top with treachery lurking around every corner.
Annie Oakley knows all too well about the hard road to success. The transition from lamb to wolf is the only transition one can make to stay afloat in this industry, and when all else fails she uses what she's got to get what she wants. She knows that everybody loves a star when they’re on top, but in order to maintain that top spot and keep the crowd chanting your name one has to be more grimy than the next man or woman.
Climb into the pages of I Used To Love Her and take this journey into the world of love, hate, power and hip-hop.
This book was such a great read with the exceptions of quite a few typos and words printed twice.
Trey, Tina Dana Annie, and the rest of the characters were off the chain. the reading was smooth the storyline kept you glued to the book and wanting more. I di not want to rush through so I savored every line and chapter. To say that the twists were unreal is to minimize the effect. It was gritty to say the least and gave you amn insight into a beloved world that we all think we know but really have no clue as to how it is truly run and what you have to do to stay on top. My fav lyrics come to mind NY NY big city of dreams but everything in NY isn't what it seems you might get fooled if you come from out of town but down by the way I know my way around. Get it read and love it.
Let me say this first. I am more of a suspense/thriller type reader. This book really caught me off guard and I greatly enjoyed reading it. Every character in this book I liked a lot and made a very strong impression. Love the way Aaron Bebo put them together and the storyline tried to rip them down. It is one of the best books this year for me. I greatly anticipate part 2.
