This is Book Nine in the Cate Kensie Mystery Series, and it answers many of the questions that led up to this installment of the series. The heat is intensified for Cate and Marcus as The Agency is set on destroying the couple and ceasing Dunhaven Castle and the paranormal power it possesses for their own. To escape the clutches of the agency, Marcus transports Cate twenty years into the future, where she must face the new realities of her life, including the changes in her future and the source of her nightly visions and nightmares. Cate and Marcus must formulate a plan to annihilate The Agency and save their family. To Cate’s surprise, Marcus secures the help of a previous adversary, who Cate is unsure she can trust.
Cate also contends with a dark force that is threatening her family, a force that will stop at nothing to obtain more power and destroy her world. The future Cate’s mission is clear: destroy the Agency at any cost!
Nellie H Steele does a fabulous job of formulating a plotline that is not only riveting but full of surprises. The way she weaves a delicate balance of character interactions and story development is astonishing, from an endearing, romantic love story to a paranormal battle of good against evil, Nellie elicits the emotions and feelings of her characters. The story is bursting with tension, suspense, emotions, and danger. Although the mood was dark at times, it also supplied a touching and tender quality that readers will enjoy. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book on many levels and if you enjoy the Cate Kensie Mystery Series, this is a MUST read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Readers Copy

This series is interesting but there's just way too many bumps. sometimes the story gets so brilliant that the book becomes unputdownable , other times it derail from the track.
This book is supposed to be the final climax part of the agency issue but it lacks everything that was a major factor in the last few books.
The Agency was so hyped in the last few parts, they gave Cate really tough time and suddenly, a character appears with a plan and they just simple carried out that plan AND SUCCEEDED. where was the climax? the tension? carrying out the plan with just a few bumps in their plan and that's it.
Marcus Northcott, a character whose presence overshadowed the main characters was nowhere to be seen. Same for Celine and her group, they were all out of the picture. All of them appeared just for a few scenes.
If it had been so simple to dismantle Agency, Marcus would have done it earlier.
The storyline deserved a better ending.

This installment in the Cate Kensie Mystery series was so good! It kind of wrapped everything up in a satisfying way, but there is still more to the series. I’m not going to lie, the endgame romances were ones I definitely wasn’t expecting at the beginning of the series, but I really love them. I don’t want to spoil anything, but Nellie H Steele knows what she’s doing when it comes to couples. I love how this series has so many fantasy elements while still being mainly mystery. The magic and time travel makes the plot so much more interesting and high stakes. The characters have continued to develop all throughout the series, and it has been really enjoyable to watch. I am so excited to see where this series goes, and I hope it continues for a long time. I’m excited to read Wedding at Dunhaven Castle next! If you want a high stakes but also cozy, clean mystery, go read this!

I've got to wait for the next book in this series it's gonna be tough really a good series everything that she's written so far that I've read is fantastic I love all the characters so much action so much going on If you're looking for a good exciting book to read and easy pick up this author she's fantastic

I like to finish a series to the end. I am really struggling to complete it. In my opinion, each book is losing my interest. If I read, “Cate licked her lips” one more time, I think I may scream. I wish the author would not repeat phrases book after book, it gets old fast. I think Cate is a big baby, everyone has to save her. I have to read the next book and I hope it changes my mind.

WOW!!! This is an exciting read!!! I couldn't put it down! I had to finish it to see how it ended. Full of excitement, danger and so much more!!! Start it early because you'll have to read it in one sitting!! (Yes, I read way past my bedtime)😁 Loved it!!

Reckoning at Dunham Castle ( Cate Me did cozy mystery book 9
It took me a couple of pages to catch up as to what head happened. This was incredibly great story and fast paced.
