"Inked into Your Soul" is the enthralling second book in a trilogy where destiny, romance, and mysticism collide in 2100's London.
Meet Diedra, a tattoo artist with a rare gift hidden beneath her ink, and Locran, a high-profile lawyer with a shadowed past. Their worlds intertwine in an unexpected dance of fate, where ancient legacies blend with the city's futuristic pulse.
As secrets unravel and emotions intensify, they find themselves at the heart of a mystery that defies time and logic. Will the enigmatic forces that drew them together become their salvation or their undoing?
In a world where technology meets mysticism, "Inked into Your Soul" weaves a tale of passion, mystery, and the unbreakable bonds that form when two souls are destined to collide.
Inked into your soul is a story that engulfs you into the world of Deidra and Locran. The story of their lives and how they intertwine with each other is fabulous. Deidra is the FMC with a magical ancestry and Locran is a mountain of a man who is the typical playboy. The story brings fated loved, magic, grief and longing and a whole lot of primal urges. I was hooked from the prologue and cannnot wait to read more from Ava, I loved it and ate it up
This is my first novel by this talented author, and let me tell you, she knows how to write a book. Wow, get ready for a thrill ride because you are going to fall in love with her characters. There's romance, spice, magic, mysticism, tattoos, and amazing read, and I loved every minute.
Her writing style is very descriptive, so you can visually see the scenes and characters she has set for us. It's a fast-paced, steady flowing story that keeps the reader engaged. You're always going what's going to happen next. I loved the conversations and banter and could hear it in my head.
As an advanced reader of "Inked Into My Soul," I feel so lucky to have the chance to read this book! The prologue alone made me so excited for this story and to learn more about the characters, drawing me into a world where magic and romance intertwine. As well as fan myself from the spice. Ava did a fantastic job at developing a compelling blend of fantastical elements and heartfelt character interactions.
At the core of the story are two main characters (Locran and Diedra) whose chemistry leaps off the page, igniting the story with passion and intensity. Their interactions are electric, reminiscent of fireworks lighting up the night sky. Each moment they share is imbued with emotion, making their journey a truly captivating one. I have heard samples of the audiobook and hearing the characters come to life through the audio format only serves to intensify the already palpable chemistry between them. The narration adds an extra layer of depth to their relationship, making it even more enchanting to experience.
However, despite the book's many strengths, there is one area where it falls short: world-building and exploration of the magic systems. While the introduction of magic adds an intriguing layer to the storyline, the lack of comprehensive world-building and detailed explanation of the magic systems leaves much to be desired. As a reader, I found myself yearning for more insight into the intricacies of the magical elements introduced in the narrative.
Overall, "Inked Into My Soul" is a beautiful tale of love and magic that left me enchanted. While it may falter slightly in its world-building, the magnetic chemistry between the main characters and the engrossing narrative makes it a compelling read.
This is a fast past, sore burn that gives us the back story to Locran and Diedra, who we met in Liora.
Deidra is a feisty FMC with an african cuban background and magical ancestory. Locran is a 7-foot Irish playboy with no interest in a relationship, need I say more?
Ava brings magic, fated mates, heartbreak, grief, and so much more in this steamy romantasy. I was hooked and couldn't put this book down. The introduction of other characters has set up further stories that I just can not wait to get my hands on ❤️🔥
Pre-order now for release on 31st March, but in the meantime, you should definitely check out Liora ❤️❤️
I am lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book and I absolutely adore it. I was gripped from page one and could not get enough! A gripping story that you cannot step away from. Beautiful characters who you want to know in real life. Spice for days! Highly recommended.
This was such a cute Romance. I enjoyed the plot as it was unpredictable. There were so many different characters and connections in this universe. The fantasy elements kept me intrigued as it fueled the suspense. The writing was beautiful!
I really enjoyed this book I gave it 5 stars because it had the right amount of tensions romance and spice, the characters not knowing what was happening between them until they let it happen. I hope to read more from Ava in the future she is an excellent author and a brilliant mind to transport me into a story
I had it in audio form. Loved the story. Romance story between Deidra and Locran. But with magic in between, mystic and spice of course. But wow with the narrators. The characters do come to live. Loved them.
Inked Into Your Soul is book two in the Whispers of Destiny debut series by author Ava Rogue. Inked Into Your Soul is a bold and genre-blending dive into romance, trauma, identity, and mysticism. Set across vibrant backdrops like Cuba and London, the story follows Diedra, a spirited, passionate woman whose life is shattered by tragedy and slowly rebuilt through love, art, family, and hidden heritage. Told from multiple perspectives, primarily Diedra and Locran, the brooding Irish law student, the novel weaves erotica with ancestral spirituality, exploring Santería, grief, sexuality, and soul connections in a deeply intimate way. It’s part romance, part coming-of-age, part spiritual revelation, with plenty of fire.
Rouge doesn’t hold back in this second book in the Whispers of Destiny series. Whether it’s a sex scene, a panic attack, or a mystical vision, the emotions hit hard and fast. Some moments felt downright cinematic, vivid, and aching. I admired how the sensual scenes didn’t just feel like shock value; they were often layered with tenderness, vulnerability, or power. Some chapters soared while others took their time as it meandered through the weight of its own emotional intensity. The dialogue occasionally slipped into melodrama, and while the characters were distinct and layered. I found myself swept up in Diedra’s journey and rooting for her, flaws and all.
What I appreciated most, though, were the themes Rouge tackled head-on. This wasn’t just about love or lust. It was about healing intergenerational wounds, reclaiming spiritual heritage, and standing firm in one’s power. The Santería elements weren’t tokenized; they felt personal, reverent, and textured. I didn’t expect a story that started with beachside sex to also make me think about cultural erasure, ancestral responsibility, and the complexity of grief. There’s something gutsy about that. I also liked how Locran’s own trauma mirrored Diedra’s. They were two souls shaped by loss and pulled together by something they couldn’t quite explain.
Inked Into Your Soul is messy, passionate, and unfiltered. And that’s its strength. It’s not a story that tries to be neat. It just tries to be true. I’d recommend this book to readers who love steamy romance but also want depth, character-driven stories, and a touch of the mystical.
I loved Locran in book 1, but that was briefly, now getting to have him hog the pages in book 2 was 😍😍😍 every time he called Diedra "mama" y'all's best believe I was grinning like a fool, melting out here in the real world like he be saying it to me, so allow me to my delulu. 7ft, tattooed, druid, Irish, long hair, perfection on paper, my new book husband , what more would I want?
Okay this was a quick read, book 2 in the 'Whispers of Destiny' trilogy, simply beautiful, it's a book filled with alot of flavours, had me eating it up in a day. Gifted MCs, shifters, Feisty MFC, playboy MMC turned sweetheart, 6½ft - 7ft gorgeous yummy men (not 1-2 but a whole bunch) this book got it all. Just hands off Locran and Tail (I've claimed)
The chemistry between Locran and Diedra is just undeniable from the beginning but well they have to go through some 'trials and tribulations' and allow themselves to grow and heal from past events. But you only get to push so far before you completely fall into the abyss and lose everything. Locran moving to another country and Diedra still hesitant on opening up, will the time apart make the heart grow fonder? Or will it push them into another's arms? Well the opportunities are definitely all around, Rio is there to hold Diedra if she will let him, Locran has his ex-situationship - now business partners wife, who is willingly ready to throw herself at him. Will they take what the universe is throwing their way, before they return to each other? We'll grab the book to find out more....
Ahhh I almost forgot about the spice, it was giving. My mans did the needful and let me just say, as much as I didn't want Diedra with my man 😉 well she claimed her way up that mountain of a man and had her groove on 😉🫣🔥😏 and having to read the back story of these characters was just amazing, getting to know why they were as they are, and how they have evolved is truly beautiful.
Omg, so i wanted to read this book because I loved the cover. I didn't know what the story was about. It's just been on my radar since the release. Because seriously how beautiful is that cover!
But I can say the story didn't disappoint. I really loved the MMC and FMC. I'm really glad I finally read.
Not normally one for paranormal romances but i was pleasantly surprised. I really like the illustration at the end as well it looks really good and gives you a great idea of the chracters in the story. Would definitely pick up another book by this author. Great story!
Wow, I am not usually a reader of this genre but Ava Rouge has such a slow build into the dramatic and romantic relationships that I couldn't put it down. Inked into your soul is both easy to read and has dialogue that will reel you in and not let you go. Must read for Romantasy fans
“Inked Into Your Soul” is a paranormal love story, with themes of destiny, mysticism, loss, and an emotional romance. Watch out, readers. A bit of spice is sprinkled between those pages, too. Well written, enjoyable read.
Inked into your Soul is an amazing story of heartbreak, healing, redemption and a love only destined for these two soulmates.
This book gave me all the warm and fuzzies. I absolutely loved the two main characters, Deidra and Locran. Their love story completely enveloped me. I truly felt their carnal need to be together and I loved that it didn’t come easily.
Their journey through many obstacles and trials made the ending so rewarding and left my heart feeling so full.
Character development was incredible. Ava Rouge did a magnificent job in having these characters grow into the most lovable and relatable people.
Their story was immaculately written and crafted to seep into your very being.
I will carry this story with me for many years to come.
