This is the third volume of the surprisingly exciting Oni press comic run for Sesame Street and if there’s one thing they are really doing right over there and that’s picking the absolute mvp’s to be their protagonists in each issue. Like the title entails this one follows the delightfully goofy and child like Cookie Monster as he tries to host his first ever dinner party for his friends, with the funniest joke being the thing he keeps forgetting to make being… cookies! 3.25/5

Cookie Monster is preparing a party for his friends but keeps feeling that he is forgetting something.

It's cute graphic novel, if a little stiff and corny, but that's on-brand for Sesame Street, and I'll take any excuse to use my Cookie Monster voice for a read-aloud.

Meh execution of a boring idea. Doesn't really leverage the wonderfulness that is Cookie Monster.

Listen - these may be comics for babies but they are SUPER adorable with lots of thought/time/care put into them. Just like episodes of Sesame Street, they have lessons for kids can learn from (even adults too). Perfection.
