I enjoyed reading his growth arc, his trials, his character development and redemption. I love how inclusive this series is, it is refreshing to have so much diversity and inclusivity within a series.
Great adventure series, that does need to be read in order, each character has their story but the whole series is woven into a bigger tapestry that is still being revealed.
There is just the right amount of romance for this fantasy series. Not high romance but enough in it to satisfy my romantic loving heart.

Engraved on a Heart of Flame is perhaps Claire’s best work yet! In this installment of the Threads of Destiny series, Rakhmet struggles with who he’s been, and who he wants to be. Can he forgive himself for the mistakes he’s made? Will he survive long enough to have that opportunity? His journey takes him far from home, and into danger, but fortunately he has friends by his side. Look forward to appearances by familiar faces from books 1 & 2, as well as intriguing new characters to explore!

Engraved on a Heart of Flame is the highly anticipated third book in the Threads of Destiny series. Like the title of this series indicates, each book is a carefully crafted thread which is woven together, carrying the narrative towards a singular destiny as the story progresses. The characters are diverse and inclusive, the stories are mapped out beautifully, and the writing is poetic. Rakhmet, the main character, has a redemption arc that’s as epic as Avatar: The Last Airbender’s Prince Zuko’s. Much like Avatar, these books have characters with epic elemental abilities. The conflict centers around the corruption of elemental temples and the “blessed,” who must clear the corruption from the temples that usually correspond with their abilities. The world-building in this story is expertly crafted. I give this book five stars! If you are looking for a fantasy story that has inclusivity, spice, action, and character psychology that is fully fleshed out, then this is the series for you!

This story just keeps getting better. With a diverse cast of characters and an incredible world that keeps on growing, this story continues to impress. The growth of the characters as they deal with the obstacles of their journey not only prepares them to be better warriors, but ultimately allows them to grow as individuals capable of dealing with their feelings despite the internal and external elements fighting against them. A fantastic love story meets the excitement of a classic adventure tale that brings all the excitement of an Indiana Jones type of story. If the first book drew me into this world, the second book made me fully invest, and the third made me fall in love. I cannot wait to continue this story.

Rakhmet finally gets clarity on his vision- and then it’s tunnel vision for him to get this temple cleared, get his blessing back, and prove his devotion to his lands, people, and his oathed guard 🗡️ this also means having a leveling gaze with his dad, the current King!

Okayyyy Rakhmet & Hara! I was rooting for these two sparring partners to have their breakthrough & their moment did NOT disappoint! You gotta read it to see what I mean!

This book shows what it truly means to be an oathed guard to a blessed, in the deepest of ways.. It made Rakhmet stronger, but it broke Esia (aka Evelaine) and now she’s out for revenge. Is she gonna be a Lone Ranger on her mission or team up to enact her revenge?!?! Good luck Rakhmet on keeping tabs on that one 😅
