As usual I love books from Scrare Street. This one was different because the main author chose to go via route of things happening in a foreign country and more military like. My favorite ghost chaser/killer Shane Ryan was in this story as well.
I did find that I enjoy reading these books via a physical book verses audiobook. I control what the persons sound like and how I picture the environment.
This was still another good book but I think I would have preferred not listeing to an audio book and reading it.
Overall, I recommend this read if you like ghosts, military type situations, and some violence.

Wow! Explosive "what-did-I-just-read???" reader's hook! Hoping for a time of relative peace at home in Nashua, New Hampshire, anong the "house ghosts," instead intrepid ghost-aware former Marine ["once a Marine, always a Marine"] Shane Ryan finds himself caught up in bizarre events in a violent Central European nation, when a former Marine buddy tracks him down in Nashua, and urges him to join the man's "consulting" firm [read: private mercenaries] on an important job as the buddy needs trustworthy individuals. Shane demurs, but a week later the buddy is dead, under suspicious circumstances; and loyalty to a man who saved Shane's life during combat (and vice versa) propels Shane to Central Europe to discover the truth. Of course, there will always be Ghosts, wild dangerous adventure, and a plethora of breathtaking action, the norm for Shane Ryan.

Interesting premise, and world building. Curious about unfolding of layers hinted at with the plot. Ready for the next!
