Raised in the City of Moore Haven, a low lying rural township in the heart of Florida’s cane country, Wamuhu Mwaura moved to New York City in 2003. A published poet, musician, aspiring novelist, and small business owner, she dedicates the time she spends away from her craft to her two children. She is also a Reservist in the United States Army.
