This book is an extraordinary resource for families navigating the unimaginable loss of a child. The language is gentle, thoughtful, and perfectly attuned to provide comfort to both parents and siblings during such a difficult time. The illustrations are beautifully inclusive, reflecting a range of experiences and ensuring that all readers can feel seen and supported.

What sets this book apart are the parent tips across the pages. These serve as a compassionate guide for parents, offering practical advice on how to help their family cope with this profound loss. During a time when it may feel impossible to know what to do or say, these insights provide clarity and hope.

This book is a must-have for families, hospital workers, child like specialists, social workers, counselors, and anyone supporting children and parents through grief. It is a true gift for families facing their darkest moments, offering solace and understanding when it’s needed most.

So well done. I worked with dying kids and their families in a children’s hospital for a long time and would have loved to have a resource like this when I was there. I love the parent tips. Beautiful work Vanessa!
