What a unique perspective Klimt had on art. He was capable of and excelled in painting highly realistic portraits and landscapes, but loved to embellish his art with design. Some of the paintings are frightening, like Death and Life, and some are just beautiful, like The Women Friends. And he loved cats and women.
It is such a shame that so many of his works were lost when the Nazis burned the castle they were hiding stolen art works in at the end of the war.

A fun and short biography about Klimt’s life and work as an artist. There’s quite a few pages describing his paintings with nicely printed images.

And the 6 prints given within the packet are also wonderfully printed! I’ve hung up two so far!
