Lila Kate Callahan was just 19 years old when she found the love of her life, a military man in town for training. Lila and Kelvin Kensington spent several blissful days together before he was deployed. She was at the mercy of her parents when she discovered herself an unwed pregnant woman that couldn’t find her man. Forced into a marriage with another man by her parents, Lila raised her son Wyatt, with her abusive husband Jonathan. Now divorced, she is forced to find Kelvin and to tell Kelvin and Wyatt about their relationship because her ex was blackmailing her with Wyatt’s paternity. Sparks fly and the years melt away when Lila and Kelvin meet again. All is not sparkles and rainbows with the addition of Lila and Wyatt into Kelvin’s life. There are lots of emotions flowing through this book as Lila, Kelvin, and their children and friends navigate their new lives and family dynamic. The ranch in the beautiful Sundance Valley with the surrounding mountains provides an outstanding location for the book.

Ms. Steele has done an excellent job with this steamy, heartwarming story about a later in life couple that find each other again after they have raised their own families. The acts of intimate surrender that the couple has to make after so many hurts are filled with angst and longing. The story had me captivated from start to finish wondering what would happen next. A terrific book.

Reclaimed By The Rancher is a fantastic second chance romance story. When I first read the overview for Reclaimed By The Rancher, I knew right away that I wanted to read the whole book to find out what was going to happen between the main characters. Reclaimed By The Rancher is the fourth installment in the Sundance Valley Series. Reclaimed By The Rancher follows the journey of Kelvin and Lila who are well-developed, beautifully written and perfectly executed by author Lily R. Steele. Author Lily R. Steele continues to take me by amazement with her fascinating romance stories that are entertaining and enjoyable to read. I didn’t want to set this book down because the story was that captivating from beginning to end. Reclaimed By The Rancher is definitely a book that I would give as a suggestion for anyone who enjoys reading second chance romance stories. Reclaimed By The Rancher is an ease to read, has wonderful characters, romantic/steamy, suspenseful, definite page-turner, a happily ever after for Lila and Kelvin, and overall, Reclaimed By The Rancher was an absolute enjoyment to read. I’m looking forward to seeing what else Author Lily R. Steele will come up with for her next book.

This was the first book I read in this series and the storyline and writing made me want to read the first three books! The two main characters, Kelvin and Lila, were great. Their story of coming together when young, being separated by commitments, losing contact with each other, and being forced to move on is heartbreaking. When Lila is forced to seek out Kelvin years later to tell him her secret, will it bring them together or destroy the family each of them has built? Compelling with plenty of heartbreak, sadness, loss, love, and a slight bit of danger thrown in. This was an ARC book I am so delighted that I received and gladly give this review. Advise others to check out this series!

This is the 4th book in the series by Lily R. Steele. They are interconnected with characters but can stand alone plot-wise. This is a second chance romance that hits all the sweet spots. It’s steamy, sexy, and also makes the later in life romance trope really hot. I’ve enjoyed the series so far, and this book was definitely one of my favorites. Two of my favorite tropes done really right.

Kelvin and Lila. They were lovers and then he was deployed and then she found out she was pregnant and couldnt reach him. Her parents made her marry an abusive and hateful man to save face. When her ex threatens to tell the truth she seeks out Kelvin to tell him and her son the truth. This book captures your heart from page 1 to the last page. Theres healing, emotions, family and suspense.

This was a great second chance romance with elements of suspense. Two decades after meeting and being separated by the military and other events, Lila and Kelvin met again. Love, secrets, and merging families were challenges to a relationship that still had the love of their youth to base a future upon. The characters were interesting and genuine. I received this book as an ARC and am leaving an honest review.

Sweet story

Nice background building. The characters were easy to like, and feel involved with the story. I like that everything didn't fall magically into place and everyone loved each other immediately. True to life tension, and jealous feelings between Wyatt and the one daughter. She felt he was breaking into her family, and didn't belong. Real life angst.

The book was a little slow to get into but once it picked up it was really good. I like second chances and this one was decent. The MCs were relatable and likeable. Some danger in the middle and then smooth sailing. They get their HEA.
