Cy Foster is an Italian-born novelist, publisher, and entrepreneur whose work spans epic fantasy and psychological science fiction. After moving to Houston fifteen years ago, he built a career in surveying before making the decision to pursue writing and publishing full-time.

Today, he proudly considers himself a Houstonian. He serves as the founder of Intermundia Publishing, an independent publishing house dedicated to helping authors bring their stories to readers without sacrificing the unique voices that make them their own.

Cy began his publishing journey five years ago with The Allbeing Chronicles, an independently published psychological science fiction trilogy. The experience gave him firsthand insight into both the creative freedom and the challenges of independent publishing, ultimately inspiring him to create Intermundia Publishing.

His latest novel, Firebringer, represents two years of writing, revision, and world-building. Drawing inspiration from the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling, historical events, and cinematic storytelling, the novel launches an epic fantasy series filled with dragons, ancient mysteries, political intrigue, and unforgettable adventures. At its heart, however, Firebringer is a story about hope, redemption, sacrifice, and the courage required to face impossible odds.

Cy's philosophy as both an author and publisher centers on authenticity. He believes stories should be told in the voice that best serves them rather than conforming to rigid formulas or passing literary trends. Whether that means embracing quiet moments of reflection, expansive narration, or immersive action, he strives to let each story unfold naturally while maintaining a high standard of craftsmanship. That same philosophy guides Intermundia Publishing.

Outside of writing, Cy is an avid CrossFit athlete who trains most days of the week, a passionate traveler, and a dedicated student of the Japanese language. He also believes that few things rival a great cup of coffee.
Cy is currently writing the second installment of the Firebringer series while preparing his upcoming young adult fantasy novel, The Wordsworn and the Fae, and expanding the roster of authors represented by Intermundia Publishing.

Sci-Fi masterpiece! I was hooked from the very beginning. I think the thing that hooks people into science fiction is how easily it could become science fact. In Allbeing we are faced with an AI that eventually goes rogue. Is this AI just an invention or is it a sentient being not of our world? Follow Alex along his path to discover who and what he is while trying to save the world.

High fantasy is usually my go to genre when it comes to reading but I truly enjoyed this sci-fi adventure! It felt as though every other chapter there was a twist that I wasn’t expecting and times that I just didn’t want to put the book down. It has a great storyline and I’m excited to see what the second book has in store for us. I did find that there was an immense amount of exclamation marks used, which was curious to me. And I know it’s a strange thing to be thrown off by but when I read a line with a “!” I read it as though the character is yelling. I do also feel like the book could have gone through another round of editing just to catch the spelling/grammatical errors that I saw throughout it. There were a few times I had to stop and re-read a sentence several times because it hadn’t made sense to me. The “love interest” felt out of place in the story and almost forced as well, like the story would have been absolutely fine if it wasn’t a part of it.
Regardless of those things though this is a very promising story that will leave you on your toes and leave you wondering what the next twist is going to be. This sci-fi adventure definitely needs to be added to your TBR pile that’s hanging out on those shelves in your room.

This is a perfect book for fans of The Truman Show, IRobot, and Terminator. It is filled with so much action and excitement at every turn. You won’t be able to put this book down!

The MMC Alexander Hide is a seemingly “normal” young adult who wakes up in a world of chaos. The world created by the author is one similar to where we live now. A world run and driven by the advancements in AI. The story follows Alexander as he tries to figure out what he is?, why he was created?, and what “allbeing” ultimately wants him for. Alex will fight with everything he has to save himself and his world from the all consuming allbeing.

There are a lot of new ideas of tech advancements in this book, but the author does an amazing job introducing new concepts of technology that he has created for his world. As well as explaining each one in detail. The reader can easily follow along and understand the developments clearly through out the story.

There are so many twist and turns that this book had me utterly consumed for days on end. What makes this book so appealing is the idea of no matter what life throws at you or no matter how much all seems lost to never give up to find your truth. After all you never know who you can believe or trust. Alexander goes through so much loss and betrayal but always seems to get up and keep going. It’s an endearing quality for his character.

Five stars!!! And the freaking plot twist at the end !!! Can’t wait to read book 2 :)

Cy gives Marquis de Sade energy, not in content but in how much pleasure he takes in torturing his readers with emotional damage. Awakening is fast-paced, brutally addictive, and full of so many WTF moments I lost count.

The ending had my jaw on the floor with a huge plot twist, and now I HAVE to read the next one!

Highly recommend!

I loved this book! Because of Awakening all of Cy Fosters books moved to the top of my TBR pile and its 400 books deep. The way he grabs your attention and keeps it is sooo nice and honestly rare for an indie author to perfect with their first book. I am so excited to dive into the rest of the series!!

Wow. What a wild ride. It was like a sci-fi spy thriller within a near dystopian world. I’m now reading the 2nd book Expansion. I can’t wait to see where it takes me.

This book grips you from the beginning until the cliffhanger at the end. Well written sci-fi book that deals with things that could potentially happen in our future if we are not careful with all of this AI invading our space.

Our MMC Alex is an enigma in the beginning, and he is slowly trying to figure out his life and where he fits in with an insane world.

Don’t get attached to your favorite characters…this author does not care about your feelings. 😂 I’m in book two, and am excited to see where Cy Foster takes us next.

If you love sci-fi action filled, plot driven books, this is totally it. You will be thrown into a cool high tech world and it's definitely a page turner! I really recommend reading! The main character wakes up in a world wind of chaos, trying to figure out how he became super strength and not remembering half of what the news is saying about him. Will he figure out who's truly pulling all the strings in time before things get worst? If you are a fan of i,robot I feel like you'll enjoy this. That cliffhanger thoughhhhhh...
