This isn't a bad coursebook, but it's of rather limited use. I can imagine it being picked up by someone who's going to have to listen to a lot of lectures in English, or their teacher, but it won't be much help in a conversation. Also, I would really love coursebook writers to pay some attention to research of Richard Cauldwell and the like, it would improve the listening exercises immensely.
