Zero is a Prequel novella by Krysten Harlow. Rayner, Wizard and Council member is leading the other Council members to fight for Zhefrith and the World. They are fighting Zero, a dark arch wizard. I found the characters to be well written and the story is excellent. I received an arc for free and am leaving my review voluntarily.
I liked this prequel that is a snapshot of a fight that takes place between the good guys and bad guys. Lots of drama and implied intrigue between the characters. And really makes me want to read the rest of the series to see what happens next for everyone involved. I enjoyed the fight with its magic and mages.
This was a prequel story to a series that I haven't read. It seems to be backstory to a magical epic tale of good and evil and saving a world. The reader gets a good view into the characters of the two protagonists.
A great quick read. This prequel does a fantastic job setting up character development, story line, and very creative world building skills. The characters are engaging and I felt as if I was right there in the story with them. I can't wait to start reading the series.
