What inspired her to create the different book series was the laughter of her three children, and she hopes to bring laughter into your family.
Professionally, she is a clinical anesthesiologist who understands the apprehension patients may have surrounding their upcoming surgery. Her goal in her medical books, for both adults and children, is to bring useful information to patients so they have a better understanding and appreciation of what happens leading up to, during, and after surgery. She wants readers to be more empowered to make informed decisions and to feel more at ease with their surgery.
As a practicing physician, she takes pride in being respected for her attention to detail, commitment to providing compassionate and personalized patient care, and strong presence in patient advocacy in the perioperative period for each of her patients. This is a very beautiful story that follows the love and care that parents of every nationality, race, and age feel for their children. The author does a beautiful job of illustrating as well as textually explaining the vast array of emotions that we as parents have when we have a small child. The book starts as a baby is born and progresses through different families and different childhood experiences. The author has illustrated from the parents point of view the feelings of pride and joy that we have watching our children grow and flourish. I could not recommend this book more! You will not be disappointed in picking up a copy today!!

This engaging book that moms can read with their daughters covers many of the important life-events that they share (or will share) together. The book demonstrates the joy mothers feel by participating in these rites of passage and how undertaking these adventures together with their girls can be an encouragement for the scarier times, such as doctor appointments or their first bike ride. I also enjoyed how the illustrations included families of different ethnicities which teaches young ones the wonderful things they have in common with others...such as...awesome moms.

The sweet story is a reminder of how time flies and an inspiration to enjoy every moment that we spend with our children and not rush the time.
