This book is more to look at and remember than to read. The book starts with the history of Paris and then continues to present time. The author clearly loves Paris. His photos are beautiful. This book is for someone who enjoys books on photography of different places but more for that person who has been to Paris and fallen in love with the city and wants to return. It is not a tourist guide of the city although the places shown are definitely one's tourists would go to see, but instead an insight into what makes Paris the city everyone dreams of. It is the Paris off the beaten track, the real Paris. The one to see once you have been to all the tourist sights, and are ready for the real thing. Be ready to fall in love all over again with the City of Lights.

Five pounds of Paris! This beautiful book made me fall in love with the City of Lights. It's a remarkable coffee-table sized book.
