The Last Levy: Waffen-SS Officer Roster, March 1st 1945

The author located a late war Waffen-SS officer roster which listed the Waffen-SS officer list from SS Captain to SS Generals (and some 1st & 2nd SS Lieutenants) placing them at their various posts in each Waffen-SS division, brigade, regiment, battalion, company, reserve and replacement unit, as well as ad-hoc battle group and higher, corps, army, army group and SS department level. Includes about 30 pages of photos of Waffen-SS officers (about 120 photos). The importance of this list is that it was dated "March 1st 1945" which was almost towards the end of the war (April 7, 1945).

About the author

Dr. Antonio J. Muñoz is a retired professor of history living in New York City. He joined the United States Marine Corps right after graduating from high school. Muñoz served honorably for four years, two of them with the Fleet Marine Force Atlantic. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in history from Queens College. Muñoz later attended St. John’s University, where he received a doctorate in history. Before he retired, he taught at St. John’s University and, later, at Farmingdale State College.

Dr. Muñoz has been married for forty-three years and has several grandchildren. His family in Spain hails from the province of Asturias while his wife’s family is from Galicia. He and his family hold dual American and Spanish citizenship.
