I stumbled across this book through a random Google search and have really enjoyed it. Elsa distills a long and layered history, into something digestible and colorful. I like the way each chapter is connected so that you truly understand Lebanon’s Mediterranean past, the influence of religion on immigration, the values of the Lebanese in America, etc. So happy to have this resource as a first generation Lebanese woman.
