After a night of heavy drinking, Spencer James woke up to find that he was the victim of a childish prank. All the contacts in his cell phone had been renamed to fictional characters. Upon discovering a not-quite-sober text exchange with someone called ‘Thor,’ Spencer is forced to make an embarrassing text-of-shame and admit that he has no idea who he had been flirting with the night before.
To Spencer’s surprise, the so-called god of thunder opts to keep his true identity a secret. While Spencer nurses his hangover, their innocent texts take a surprisingly sexy turn.
FAYE FRIDAY is the author of erotic romance from both ends of the normal and paranormal spectrum. Her writing explores various types of love, attraction, and things that go bump in the night.
Part one of... actually nothing as the author appears never to have written a second part for this story. It is regrettable, though. Ms Friday manages to be realistic (all the details about hangovers and life's disappointmentes) without giving up on hope or on humour. Her two leads are vulnerable and real, very embarassed and so charmingly real in their clumsiness. Let us hope she will reconsider this little story of hers, giving us an ending as satisfying as this first part.
Sooo good and so different than anything I had ever read before. Spencer woke from a hangover and every name in his contact posed as a superhero. And Thor... Was he someone that Spencer should avoid or get to know, especially when the texts that follow looks like Thor is after more than making sure that Spencer is alright.
