Very interesting guide to Northwestern Ohio. Of course it's from the 1940s so not everything is the same these days, but I've found some new places to visit. This guide also offers a pretty detailed historical account of the area and it's people. The most interesting figure by a long shot would be the criminal, Sile Doty. He wasn't from Bryan or Williams County but part of his criminal ring and exploits had him in the area. Based on what he was able to get away with, I'm very surprised I hadn't heard of him before reading this book! I seriously want to read a copy of his autobiography, Life of Silas Doty, 1800-1876: A forgotten autobiography; the most noted thief and daring burglar of his time.!
