Randy is a co-founder of the Annual Atlanta Catholic Business Conference, the Catholic Business Cafe and leads the St. Peter Chanel Business Association (Faith at Work) Ministry.

Over the years since I’ve been reading and reviewing books, I’ve been blessed to interact with a number of awesome Catholic authors.
Randy Hain is one such person. He’s written a pile of books and he’s one of the dynamic duo behind Integrated Catholic Life. Randy’s latest book, Journey to Heaven: A Road Map for Catholic Men, is, in a word, GREAT. I don’t say that just because I like Randy, either. I’ve read his other books, and they’re good. This, though, is something remarkable. I can’t help but think there’s a dose of Holy Spirit in it.
Though this is, without a doubt, a book for every Catholic man you know, it’s also a book that I think benefits women. Dare I suggest that you buy it for the man in your life and then read it too? Yes, I do.
In this book, Randy Hain has channeled some of the brightest and best conversation on what it means to be a man. This book isn’t just for men, though. It should be part of every wife, sister, and mother’s required reading, and a topic of discussion for all of us. I owe a thank you to Randy, for baring himself and sharing the points I want the men in my life to live. Keep your eye out for it and go ahead and pre-order it when it’s available.

I received this book as a Christmas gift two years ago but only recently picked it up to start again and finish for the first time. A great read, with practical ideas on living a Catholic life directed at men. This will be a book, like Be a Man, by Fr. Larry Richards that I will come back to many times.

Journey to Heaven: A Road Map for Catholic Men is a book directed towards Catholic men with the intent to make them better Catholics. This book is filled with advice in many areas, such as dealing with a feminized culture, what to do with material things, finding genuine masculinity, and how to deal with pride and control.
The book contains a series of questions and observations in sixteen chapters, which is divided into three parts: Faith, Family, and Wok and the Public Square. These chapters address questions involving the Catholic faith with advice. In addition to the author’s opinions, he includes an interview with another individual involving the same issue(s). As a recent convert to the Catholic Church, which was less than ten years ago, he relies more on the insight of others than his own.
Although a new convert, the author, Randy Hain, has done much for the Church, in addition to being the founder and president of Serviam Access. He co-founded many religious/Catholic organizations, including the Integrated Catholic Life, where he serves as Senior Editor.
Although well written, this book doesn’t do a good job in arguing its points, other than stating that the Church has believed this for more than 2,000 years and has a billion followers. So, how could his positions be wrong? Further, this book side-stepped six of the issues hurting the Church today, all of which affect Catholic men within the United States today: sexual scandals, celibacy, birth control, homosexuality, female priests, and premarital sex.
Journey to Heaven is a guide that challenges men to be a better Catholic.

This book brought together the wisdom of many practicing Catholic men on how to live life well. There are a lot of good and practical ideas for anyone wanting to grow closer to God.
