This feels more like a novel about technique than a novel about plot. Yet it's fascinating for the choices it makes with the characters who come into focus. I think probably this is a better way to talk about issues facing a country than trying to manipulate certain feelings. This strives to be honest through dishonesty. It's very, very clever.

Did not love it at first but it definitely got better and was a compelling story by the end
