Lightcrest Ink #1

The Lightcrest Champion

I thought that being a mate meant ‘forever,’ but that was all a lie.

Danika

I hadn’t been looking for anything more than a good time when I met Gia, but when she told me that I was her mate—and that we were meant to be together—I believed her. Why wouldn’t I?

But five years later, the life I’d built for myself with the Quickthorn Pack fell apart, and the only thing on my mind was getting as far away from Gia as possible.

The best place to cool off and sort my sh*t out?

A place where Gia would never dare to show her face.

Lightcrest Territory.

Avery

I was used to being solitary. Estranged from my family and everything the Lightcrest Pack represented, I’d set up my own tattoo shop and made my own way in the world—and that suited me just fine. I’d made my own family. The last thing I needed was an interruption to my routine.

The last thing I needed was a brush with fate.

Danika was lied to.
Her mate and Alpha Gia, or at least she thought she was her real mate, lied and cheated on her.
Now, she'll let everything go up in flames and then she would disappear.
As far away as possible from the Quickthorn Pack!

Avery Myles is an Alpha and something like a lone wolf, but also a member of the Lightcrest Pack.
She has her own home and tattoo studio.
She prefers to be in her studio with her her clients and of course with Cassie, her employee who is actually something like her best friend or a bratty little sister.
But they have each others backs!

The mysterious beauty who suddenly appears in Avery's studio one day and attracts the attention of her wolf brings trouble, but also an attraction that Avery does not know.
Avery feels good with her somehow, although she's a stranger but she's also an Omega!
Coincidence? Or Fate?

I love shifter romances. The concept of a Mate Bond is a nice idea for me and I like the aspect of belonging. It's really beautifully written in this book by Luna Lawson, as well as in the other "Lightcrest Shifter" books.
However, I especially liked the budding relationship between Avery and Danika.
Avery is a very sweet and protective alpha!
Things get hot and explosive between the two.
I particularly liked that ;)
Thanks to the author for this ARC!

I recently read a book that was a quick and enjoyable read. It's a spin-off from the Lightcrest series and serves as the first book in this new series. I particularly enjoyed the characters in the story. However, I found some aspects of the shifter community a bit confusing. It's possible that reading the other books in the series may have helped, but I haven't done so yet.

I wish there was more backstory provided for the relationship between Danika and Gia, as I felt a bit lost at times. Additionally, I would have liked a better understanding of that wolf pack in relation to the Lightcrest pack. Furthermore, I was hoping for more resolution regarding Gia, although I suspect this may be addressed in a future book.

There were some grammar issues in the book, such as inconsistent pronoun usage and some other odd word mix-ups. However, overall, I found it to be a really good book, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

The Lightcrest Champion: A Paranormal F/F Wolf Shifter Romance (Lightcrest Ink Book 1)

Danika was devastated after her so-called mate shattered her heart, prompting her to embark on a journey to create a new life for herself. Uncertain about her ability to thrive due to her previous isolation, she unexpectedly encountered Gia.

I genuinely appreciate the author’s insights. The theme of mates resonates with me, and I particularly enjoy the Light Crest series.

Danika was spirited and resolute in her quest to carve out her own path in this world. I sensed an immediate bond between her and Avery; both seemed to fulfill a need in one another that they were unaware of.

I was thrilled to see Danika discover the genuine love she had been longing for with Avery. I truly admire the stories from this author, and the book is available on Amazon KU! It’s definitely a worthwhile read!

Avery is a tattoo artist in a pack territory that she has lived all of her life. Danika is an Omega running from an Alpha that is cruel. She left that life to begin a new life. Danika wanted to feel love and secure. She ran from Gia, who was mean and self centered. When Gia tracked her down Danika thought she lost everything. What she did not know is that Avery loves her and would do everything to keep her safe and happy.

She was lied to by a wolf who cared even less for her, so Danika left!

Daniel a wolf herself was told and lied to by a another wolf named Gia. Danika found herself in another pack area who had a completely different viewpoint on how things are run. Danika also finds a tattoo artist who was very pretty. Slow process of trust in all areas to manage until Gia finds her and tries to forcibly remove her against her will. Until her local tattoo artist Avery comes to her rescue. Enjoy!

This Story is Good

This story is good because if it wasn't so terribly good I wouldn't have finished it. The editing was not so good. Pronouns are mixed up all over the place! But the story and the characters are really good.
I've read the Lightcrest series and loved them, not encountered this blunder before. Please read the story anyway and let's hope the errors get "fixed" so we can read it again with more enjoyment.

This is Gia, Avery, and Danika's story. Danika is running from Gia, who has been abusive to her. She heads to The Lightcrest Territory and meets Avery. Avery is a tattoo artist who has her own life. When she meets Danika she starts having feelings. What will happen when Gia tracks down Danika?.

Excellent Story, But Need Revision

The story is good and different, but it was an inconsistent multiple time where was narrated as a 3rd or 1st person view, that I had to re-read the sentence multiple times and still made no sense, but move forward understanding what it meant. I read the Lightcrest Pack series and was waiting for more. Happy to see I was not disappointed.

Light Hearted

This is a low angst lighthearted shifter romance. It has spice and likable characters. There were some gender typos which annoy me but other then that it was a great book.
