Perception: Book One of the Wishing Box Chronicles

Rate this book
“My name is Yorig and I’m from a world very different from this one—a place where an item such as this Wishing box makes sense.”
Jeremy couldn’t imagine one bit of what had happened in the past hour making sense anywhere. “What do you mean?” He asked.
“Let me put it this way; what if your attitude towards a situation actually altered it?”

Imagine if your views, opinions, and fears shaped the world around you. Would your reality be different from everyone else’s? How would your personality affect your destiny? Those are only a couple of the questions facing Jeremy Pike and Sarah Campbell after they find themselves lost in a new world with very confusing rules. To make matters worse, they seem to be on the losing side of a war between their only friends and an army of shapers—tyrants with the ability to change someone’s reality at their whim. Perception, the first book in the Wishing Box Chronicles tells the story of these two teenagers as they discover the world around them and their own potentials. Will their new found abilities help them save themselves and return home?

This is a great youth fantasy installment, and I hope Upton gives us sequels.
