About the author

Colette was the pen name of the French novelist and actress Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette. She is best known, at least in the English-speaking world, for her novella Gigi, which provided the plot for a famous Lerner & Loewe musical film and stage musical. She started her writing career penning the influential Claudine novels of books. The novel Chéri is often cited as her masterpiece.

Premier livre que je lis de Colette et j'aime son écriture ciselée et pleine. Alors qu'on s'achemine doucement vers l'automne, qui mènera à l'hiver, ce livre fait du bien et se prête à toutes les saisons : de l'héllébore à la jeannette, du muguet au pavot en passant par la tulipe et l'arum. Découvertes garanties sur les talents ou significations cachées de certaines fleurs....l'auteure nous livre un hommage à son environnement favori qui a toujours été sauvage et naturel depuis l'enfance.
