In Holiday Corner, Vermont, with snowflakes dancing through the frosty December air, excited residents are placing the finishing touches on their annual Snowman Festival. This year, the festive holiday spirit is shattered when the town’s art gallery owner is found murdered two days before the festival is to begin. The man’s frozen body is discovered hidden beneath a carefully crafted snowman which has an uncanny resemblance to the deceased.
As word spreads through the small town, twin sisters, Alexa and Aria, become the unwitting suspects. Several eyewitnesses claim they saw two figures, one resembling Alexa and the other Aria, running from the town square minutes before the body was discovered.
With the small town's festivities at risk, suspicion mounting, and a killer on the loose, the amateur sleuths must rely on their courage, and a little help from their furry friends to prove their innocence.
Can the mystery be solved before the Snowman Festival is canceled, or will the true murderer strike again?
You’ll even find a recipe for Old Fashioned Plum Pudding!

They are getting ready for the celebration in Holiday Corner when a dead body is found. The investigation is on going leading to the truth and arrest of the killer.
I would recommend this series and author to readers of holiday family and friends adventure mystery novels 🎇😃🤔 2024 😎👒
A charming mystery set amid the snowy festivities of Holiday Corner’s Snowman Festival. I enjoyed the festive atmosphere, the fun twists, and the continued development of the twin sisters as they worked to clear their names after a shocking murder. If you’re looking for a lighthearted, cute, wintry read with just the right mix of mystery and small-town warmth, this book may just be for you!
Holiday Corner Book 8. In this case their a a Snowman Festival featuring Joy Holiday the event planner for the town. There is a series of events throughout this short read. Alexa and Aria are twin granddaughters of a local artist Natalie Rose. A most disagreeable man is found at the foot of a Snowman. There is another group of twins also figuring. There is family drama throughout. That everything always comes out fine.
Sharon and the other authors of this series do a great job of writing individual books that are intertwined. Finding a dead person in a snowman right before the festival is supposed to start sends ripples through the small community. Secrets come out and the culprits of moving the body and hiding it are arrested and the festival goes off without another hitch.
It was interesting meeting some new to Holiday Corner characters in this installment and wondering just what secrets they might have. The twist at the end was a good one but the snowman festival went on successfully despite everything. Always a fun visit to Holiday Corner.
I’ve read all of Sharon Michaels’ Canine Cozy Mystery series (and I hope there will be more), so I wanted to give one of her other books a try. I sure am glad I did. I enjoyed it just as much and plan to look into her other holiday books.
UPDATE- Frosty Fugitives was a cute addition to this series. Holiday Corner is putting last touches on the town holiday festival. Of course there is a murder, development of recurring characters and a plum pudding recipe! Fun twists!
