Justice has no face. Just a name:

The Marker

Amidst the chaos left in back alleyways and side streets, the Marker wages war against corruption in the crime-ridden metropolitan city of Ashden. Cloaked in a hood and a trench coat, he administers justice one villain at a time.

In his wake, investigative journalist Chris Verlorne observes and reports on the deeds of this hooded vigilante. When he stumbles upon the trail of a hidden arsonist serial killer, Chris vows to hunt him down and bring him to justice. But with no one else believing a killer is on the loose, Chris’ world begins to spiral out of control.

What he finds out might end up hitting too close to home.

Can he stop the killer before he strikes again?

I received this copy through a good reads giveaway in exchange for an honest review.

Chris Verlone, an investigative journalist living in the small town of Ashden, has been writing stories about a masked vigilante "The Marker" for years. When Chris discovers there may be a arsonist serial killer on the loose, Chris will stop at nothing to catch the killer and bring him to justice before he strikes again.

This book started off quite slow for me, but as I continued to read the plot twists came into effect and the book was hard to put down! I loved al the characters and how they developed throughout the story. I also really like how the story kept me on my toes the entire time and I would literally have jaw-dropping moments when a new fact was unveiled. The story is told in multiple perspectives, which made it more interesting. There were some grammatical errors which were a bit confusing, but other then that an amazing story! I definitely recommend this book!

I had the pleasure to get an early review copy of this novel, and I was very impressed with Pratt's writing style and abilities. Citing Ted Dekker as an influence, it's no wonder her style follows in the suspense genre and I personally can't wait for a sequel.

5 stars - definitely will read again...and again.
