Great twist near the end

This is a great atypical story of plight, perseverance and angst. As someone that suffers from chronic pain and the inability to walk normally, I very much appreciate the portrayal of Lib. It checks most of my boxes for a well rounded character and I could read her stories all day.

The twist at the end was unexpected, I did drop a star due to the muddy timeline. I got hung up on it as one character would say it'd been a day since the last meeting and then the next page it'd say it was a week and I'm honestly not sure the length of time this novel crosses. Weeks would make most sense given the tasks set for the character, but overall, I'm glad I found this duet.

An engaging urban fantasy with a dark, immersive world. The protagonist is complex, and the plot is fast-paced with plenty of twists to keep you on edge. The author does a great job of building tension and creating a world full of mystery and danger. While the pacing is strong, I felt some aspects of the world-building could have been expanded a bit more for clarity. Overall, it’s a thrilling read for fans of supernatural action and intricate plots.
