Let me tell you a story! I love to write. My books are filled with characters that are near and dear to my heart, and my supreme wish is that you will feel the same way after you read about them.
My romantic mysteries contain an exciting array of love stories, different ages, different locations, even a few taking place in a different time. They are sweet romances, which means that even though those great feelings of attraction and passion as love builds between two people flow through my stories, you will not find any graphic descriptions of sexual interludes (and no graphic violence either, for that matter)on the page.
The list here includes short stories as well, a fun way to enjoy a romance when time is short.
New to the list are my new novels for middle grade students (grade 4-5-6), a series of touching and fun stories beginning with "Isabel the Invisible" in the series called "The Kids of Room 6A", and a soon to appear mystery and adventure series set in 1890 Montana. Stay tuned!
I'm a teacher and family therapist as well as a writer. I truly believe that love, in all its forms, is what makes life worthwhile, and that is a lot of the motivation that keeps me writing. I hope you enjoy what you find here! I love to hear from readers. Contact me at ChristineABush@aol.com
Small-town real estate agent Willow Blake has put her unhappy childhood behind her, but she still has trouble trusting anyone. New lawyer in town, wealthy Rockford Harrison, was scarred when his best friend was shot in front of him. An off-the-board offer for a property not for sale has ended with an elderly farm couple disappearing, and Willow is sure that there's something criminal going on. Can she trust Rockford enough to accept his help in unraveling the mystery?
Willow had a rough life until she met the people of her fine town. Her real estate career is really taking off, especially after she lands a big deal with a rock star. But when a real estate deal sounds shady, she investigates to get to the truth. That's where Rockford Harrison comes in. He helps her search for a missing elderly couple, then she continues to seek him out for help. But as they work together, they also fall for each other.
Because Christine Bush is known for writing some religious romance, I'm going to finish my review from that point of view: Religion: Rockford's sister is a nun. Besides her duty to pray, there is really no mention of them being religious or turning to God for help.
Language: I don't recall a single curse word throught the entire book.
Sex: One scene was confusing. There was lots of kissing, then they fell asleep in each other's arms (I thought it was clear there was no sex, but then things mentioned later made me wonder). There is a strong implication at the end of the book that the couple were about to have sex when the author closed the scene. But as far as I could tell, there was nothing inappropiate going on.
Though the writing was poor (I think this was one of the author's first books), I was intrigued with the story and enjoyed it very much. I was pleased with the twist that happened near the end.
