I liked this book very much! It kept my attention throughout reading and kept me involved in the maturing of the twins, characters and what they all faced together. The author B W Gibson, CLEARLY inserted great detail and brought the book and characters to life. I could feel the excitement in the game plan and couldn't wait to see how it played out. A team under pressure and with some controversy along with the unexpected made it interesting. There were some surprises I did not expect and many things mentioned that took me back to my boyhood days and things I faced as a child. I found myself laughing and forgetting it was just a book. I think the author B W Gibson is a talented writer and I recommend his book.

This was an enjoyable story that reminded me of other "youth" baseball stories, such as The Sandlot and The Bad News Bears. Yet this story also took on a more serious tone due to the time period and the kids involved. It kept me turning the pages to see what would happen and I would read further stories with these boys.
