Many moons have passed since Charles first came to the Neighborhood, but a lot has changed since then. Now, the young cat has grown into his big paws and floppy ears, and his eyes no longer shine a kittenish blue. But more importantly, Charles now has a great responsibility; he must finish his quest to find Riccardo's former assistant, Mister, who has vowed to destroy the United Neighborhood and its ways. While this journey takes the young cat farther from home than he could have ever dreamed, Fuzby inwardly grapples with her place in life, as well as her anxieties over her best friend’s departure. She and Ralph struggle to hold their new society together, as waves of new animals are joining the Neighborhood daily... not all of whom have noble intentions. It's a race against time for the Guardians of the Neighborhood, because it seems if Mister doesn't destroy their way of life…
…their own citizens may do it instead.
Based on cats in the author’s own neighborhood, this sequel to Guardians of the Neighborhood takes readers on a wild adventure told through a feline's eyes that’s sure to delight lovers of wholesome stories of all ages.
I really enjoyed this book (Btw the cover is so pretty!)! There's not enough good animal books these days and when this came in my inbox I started reading and couldn't stop. I love love love the characters (especially Fuzby)! Their point of views are so fun to read! The story is so enthralling and so sweet. Looking forward to reading book one XD
Note: I received an ARC from Rebecca Chisam in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
✨️ as several new threats to the traiblazing society of the United Neighborhood arise, Charlie follows the sun's rays and a mysterious riddle into the city to find Ricky's old sidekick, while Fuzby battles cobwebs that threaten to drag her away from a role she feels she doesn't deserve ✨️
even better than the last one yippee 🤭
also, a moment of silence for the way Rebecca drops these sentences of pure WISDOM and HEART that just make me need to lie doen for like, two hours, especially at the end- she has so much maturity and wisdom at her age to blow me away like that ❤️
The second book in the GotN series is just as good, if not better, than the first! I loved getting to see new dynamics between old and new characters and seeing the character arcs continued through from the first book. This series is a wonderful, quick, refreshing read perfect for lovers of animals and the Warrior series by Erin Hunter.
