One night of passion, and two fake names. Nothing could go wrong...

Everyone—including my best friend, my mom, and even my kids' babysitter—keeps telling me to move on.

When I meet the attractive, smug, way-too-rich Englishman, Mister Anderson, at a Las Vegas bar, I decide that they're right.

Until the next morning when Anderson leaves a black bag stuffed with $25,000 in cash on the hotel counter. I'd never seen that bag—or that amount of money—in my life, but he insists it's mine... and I was worth every cent.

Runaway Bet is a single mom/ single dad billionaire romance full of debauchery, mistaken identity, and a few reluctant pushes to move forward after loss.

Runaway Bet is a single parent (both mom and dad) romance story. Runaway Bet follows the journey of Ethan and Liz. Runaway Bet is a one night of passion, and two fake names for Ethan and Liz. Runaway Bet is full of debauchery, mistaken identity, and a few reluctant pushes to move forward after loss. Runaway Bet is an ease to read, suspenseful, has wonderful characters, an amazing storyline/plot, romantic/steamy, entertaining/enjoyable to read, a definite page-turner of a romance story, a happily ever after for Ethan and Liz, and overall, a absolute pleasure and joy to read this fantastic book. I couldn’t get enough of Ethan and Liz’s amazing love story, this book was full of suspense, drama, and romance. Now I’m not going to go into detail about the book because I don’t want to spoil the story for future readers of this amazing book. However, Runaway Bet is most definitely a book that I would give as a recommendation for anyone who enjoys reading billionaire romance stories. Author Michelle May has created a fantastic romance story that was completely captivating from beginning to end. I can hardly wait to see what Author Michelle May will come up with for her next book.

Their journey is enthralling with the runaway bet, explicit romance that is consumed by steamy, sizzling passion, lust, desire, and spice with all the feelings to leave readers breathless and begging for more, drama, a single mom, a single dad romance that is full of debauchery, mistaken identity, a few reluctant pushes to move forward after loss, heartfelt emotions that will leave readers needing Puffs/Kleenex to wipe the tears that are threatening to flow down their cheeks, Anderson leave a black bag stuffed with $25,000 in cash on hotel counter, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the runaway bet and explicit romance that is sure to transport readers into a world that is wild and unforgettable.

Okay get comfortable because once you start this one you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Liz a single mom has been told by family friends to get out date again, get a life, and Etan sexy as all get out single dad has been told the same date, get out, get back to living so his friend bet him. So, he meets Abby (aka Liz) on a dare pretty much, but mistaken identity throws in lies, secrets and boy do we have a loaded one. But when he leaves a bag of money at the hotel counter for her everything changes the way that made her feel although that wasn’t his intention. However, neither of the ever imagined walking away with feelings or not forgetting the other and when they both learn of the mistaken identity what will their family think, will he be able to redeem himself, will she understand the why, is it possible to get a second chance, and will get a second chance at happiness?

"Runaway Bet" - 3,5 stars.

I really liked the premise of the book and the main characters backstories, but I had a problem with a few things:

1. it was engaging in the beginning, but after a while I felt that the characters kept on running in circles;
2. when Liz (the FMC) finally goes to London, the whole vibe was shaddy (which I liked), but I couldn't help but think that ~something~ was missing;
3. which leads me to the lack of fire and attitude from Liz with everything, even towards the end when the secrets are out;
4. and Ethan (the MMC) kept on pissing me off with all that secrecy, excuses for the way some of his family members were acting and even the way he dealt with the situation in the end.

Overall it was a good read and got me interested in the author.

If it wasn't for my book box Im not sure if would have read this book at least not anytime soon as my tbr list is quite lengthy and I had never heard of this one. However that would have been a shame because I truly enjoyed this story. Kinda makes you wonder about some of the stuff that goes on in real life. I enjoyed the journeys the characters took throughout the story their feelings relatable. I will definitely be looking into more books by this author and am excited about what other authors I will meet thru my box.

This story follows Ethan and Liz (both single parents) through their original meeting which turned Liz away from Ethan in the worst way. However, Ethan couldn't let it rest and did anything he could to find her. They ended up reconnecting due to his meddling brother. Overall, this was a really great story. I had a little issue with Liz and her lack of communicating. I know that her husband passed and I can't imagine how difficult that would be, but keeping her thoughts from Ethan when he was so open with her only caused them hurt in the long run.

This charming story had me glued to Ethan and Liz aka Abby. Ethan takes a bet from his best friend and in doing so mistaken Abby for the call girl he was supposed to meet whose name is also Abby. Mistaken identity and blossoming feelings have these two wanting more between them. Will their union bring about a happily ever after between them.

Liz and Ethan's relationship starts as a classic case of mistaken identity. But it's surrounded in deceit, lies, secrets and so many untruths. When Ethan is the man, the rich and famous go to to fix their problems. who will fix his? This is a case of what happens in Vegas, will not stay in Vegas. A good read.

Two single people get together for a night of mistaken identities and a one sided bet. It’s a bit hard to get into. I don’t know if it’s the writing or the characters but something is missing. I’m not usually a fan of the miscommunication trope but the premise of the book is intriguing. I’ll reread it in a couple months to see if I can put my finger on whatever more I need.

Such a page turner! I loved this second chance, spicy romance. The time they meet the second time is just so much drama and fun! Loved Ethan and Liz’s story, or should I say Mr Anderson and Abby? 😉.

Good story that starts with a night of mistaken identity. There is a lot of substance in this one and I was rooting for these two to get it together and find their HEA. I wasn’t disappointed.

I really enjoyed this book and how it had some twist and turns and wasn’t a “cookie cutter” predictable story. I wish we had seen more from their time in England and also George’s downfall (because we know Ethan had to be so mad) and also all his friends groveling for Liz’s forgiveness.
