FÜ Part One continues the stories that started with WERWOLF, FUR and FERAL.
Two old friends are in a rush to tie up and kill a monster before one of them turns into one himself.
The survivors of Boxford begin an impossible quest to get to the heart of lycanthropy and if not prevent World War Three at least save some innocent lives before Hell is unleashed.
And we see just how far a person will go to save the one they love.
Matthew Cash, or Matty-Bob Cash as he is known to most, was born and raised in Suffolk; which is the setting for his debut novel Pinprick. He is compiler and editor of Death By Chocolate, a chocoholic horror Anthology and the 12Days: STOCKING FILLERS Anthology. In 2016 he launched his own publishing house Burdizzo Books and took shit-hot editor and author Em Dehaney on board to keep him in shape and together they brought into existence SPARKS: an electrical horror anthology, The Reverend Burdizzo’s Hymn Book, Under The Weather* Visions From the Void ** and The Burdizzo Mix Tape Vol. 1. He has numerous solo releases on Kindle and several collections in paperback. Originally with Burdizzo Books, the intention was to compile charity anthologies a few times a year but his creation has grown into something so much more powerful *insert mad laughter here*. He is currently working on numerous projects, his third novel FUR was launched in 2018. *With Back Road Books ** With Jonathan Butcher
He has always written stories since he first learnt to write and most, although not all, tend to slip into the many layered murky depths of the Horror genre. His influences ranged from when he first started reading to Present day are, to name but a small select few; Roald Dahl, James Herbert, Clive Barker, Stephen King, Stephen Laws, and more recently he enjoys Adam Nevill, F.R Tallis, Michael Bray, Gary Fry, William Meikle and Iain Rob Wright (who featured Matty-Bob in his famous A-Z of Horror title M is For Matty-Bob, plus Matthew wrote his own version of events which was included as a bonus). He is a father of two, a husband of one and a zoo keeper of numerous fur babies.
We return to Boxford and all the remaining characters. Matthew Cash managers to inject so much grim terror but also comedy into this. There are parts where it just gets really grim but I know that just around the corner there will be something for me that will just break the tension. We're also introduced to some new characters. We are given a very detailed backstory on them and their dealings with Krauss. I really enjoyed getting to know Ginger and Andy and looking forward to reading more in the next part. Something I relish is the conversations that the characters have. They could be talking about anything but Matthew has a way with words that's just entertaining to read. Despite this being a long book and only part one it doesn't feel long despite the amount of detail. The pages just flow and soon I'm twenty pages in and wanting more. I can't wait for the next part.
I have been waiting with bated breath for the next instalment in Mathew Cash’s FUR universe, and this most certainly does not disappoint.
The most amazing thing about this story is that it is not simply a werewolf tale. It is that and so much more! It is about the beautifully fleshed out characters and how their world is moved by the lycanthropy that infects many of the characters. It’s witty and charming throughout and I loved seeing my favourite characters return and continue their journeys. Yes, there is the obligatory tearing and ripping of flesh, the gruesome transformations and their consequences, and the descriptions are exquisite and with Cash’s classic flair. I loved this book and I can’t wait for the finale.
I’d massively recommend this entire series. One of my absolute favourites.
another quality installment in the Fur series. I'm not sure where this is heading and I can't wait to find out. if you like werewolf books, you have to read this series. hell read it anyway, it is well written, the characters are fantastic and it moves along like a speeding train....... only with teeth and hair!!
Matt's books are really easy to read and difficult to put down, you can't go wrong giving this series a go.
I was so excited to receive this sequel as I waited for it with baited breath, and given how this one ended, it seems I am set to repeat the same wait, which I don't mind...... I suppose.... maybe because my god I cannot wait to see where this awesome story goes from here. The way the story ended just left me desperate for more..... and there is no more yet. It was awesome to catch up with my favourite motley crew of O.A.W.(Old Age Warewolves) and see the progression of their characters. It was great to see Danny and Tony and how their bond further develops. There was also a surprise appearance that just left me shook. Also, what happened with Cyril?!?! As per usual Matthew cash absolutely nailed this story with a great plot, wit when necessary and truly fantasic writing, he really should get much more attention in the author world. All in all loving this series please, please, please tell me you're already working on the next one
I can't give this book anything less than 5 stars. Intense and captivating, the world Cash has built with this story is will consume you. A myriad of intriguing characters all with their part to play. All with qualities you will either love or hate. I anxiously waited for this continuation of the Werwolf series and I was not disappointed. Some series you can read out of order, this isn't one of them though. In order to understand each subsequent book you had to have read the previous ones. I'm not usually a fan of the type of werwolf mythos that has the wolf a separate entity from the human, however this book changed my mind. My favorite werewolf series ever, I recommend everyone who likes werewolves read this series.
The werewolf geriatrics of Boxford return. This series gets better and better!
The cliffhanger of the last book left me howling at the moon so I had the highest of expectations for this next instalment, which were exceeded on every level.
The characters we know, love and hate, are back with a vengeance - as always fully developed and with that sharp, sarcastic and dark sense of humour alongside some visceral imagery that you won’t forget and makes Matthew Cash a must read.
He has once again left me dangling, and now urgently awaiting Fuhrer Part 2!
I loved the cameo appearances - if you know, you know. If you don’t, then you need to follow the author’s page to find out !
Fantastic follow up to the previous books in the series. As usual Matty provides an easy to read hard to put down tale packed with detail, humour, camaraderie, and blood and gore on top, oh and of course plenty of werewolf action!
Another great offering in this series. A deeper dive into a few characters brings a few new avenues to explore. Despite the story expanding the author is a master when it comes to drawing you in and making each book impossible to put down. Excellent, as always; more please!
