Danger's on the menu at this diner...

Witch and mafioso’s daughter Angie Tosca is trying to lie low in her not-so-peaceful seaside town. But trouble has a way of finding her, even when she's not looking.
But when a young accountant dies in her best friend’s diner and throws the business into jeopardy, Angie can't stay on the sidelines. Even if her mafia enforcer boyfriend

Matteo can’t help her this time.

With her snarky russian-hitman-turned-feline familiar Dmitri and limited help from Detective Finn, it's up to Angie to serve up justice. But with so many suspects, can she crack the case before the killer strikes again?

Or will Angie find herself as a target instead?

As usual, this is an entertaining mystery with great characters. The premise is a lot of fun- a reluctant mafia princess detective (and witch) with a cat familiar who is the reincarnation of a mafia Hitman. This mystery didn’t lean heavily on the witchy aspects, which I liked because I tend to enjoy the Mystery portion of Paranormal Cozy Mystery. The details of the means of the murder and its twist were not hard to guess, and the killer was not hard to figure out, but the book was still very entertaining. I give it 4/5 stars.

Reading another adventure with Angie and Dmitri was fun. I’m worried about Matteo because he has to do things for Angie’s mafioso father and half brother, Angelo. I really don’t like Angelo. So while Angie is at Caitlin’s diner, a death occurs and since the woman was a friend of Caitlin’s, of course Angie is going to look into it. She works with Finn for this one and now it has me waffling over whether Finn should be with Angie or Matteo. lol. Although if she was with Finn, it would be really bad, because of her family’s business. Watching Angie go thru all of the suspects was kinda fun. But, I pretty much knew who did it right away and why. I’m also worried about the rivalry with the Morellis and the Woodlands. I’m also worried about how Angelo is going to get back at Angie for putting him in jail. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

Angie is at a restaurant where a corporate group are celebrating when one of the women becomes ill and rushes to the bathroom. She does not return and when they do look for her she is dead. Her friend asks her to look into the murder as they suspect her father of tampering with her food. Angie along with her friends brother Finn try to find out what happened to Nia. This was a really fun story and I recommend it.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Angie's help is asked for after a death in her best friend's diner. Angie and Finn team up to solve the murder. I liked how they worked together in sifting through the rumors and with their instincts find the killer. Of course, Dmitri did his part too.
