A good overview of the author’s travels. Clearly dated by the attitudes (or rather prejudices) of the time but at some points optimistic and decently informative.

I've read better books on Borneo I'm impressed with what he dealt with and how long he stayed but I bet he was sort of a boring guy. I did learn a few things

You need to really want to know about Borneo to enjoy this book I do and I learned a lot about the people there but the book could get a little tedious at times

A fascinating tale of travels in Borneo a hundred years ago as seen through the eyes of the Norwegian scientist Carl Lumholtz.
