Inspire Me: A Hot Rod Novel

Rate this book
On a stormy night in Portland, Oregon, cynical ad exec Lily Bishop crashes into a stunning classic car driven by a dark, handsome stranger with strong hands. His powerful touch makes her remember old dreams she thought she abandoned twenty years ago. Back then, she traded her MFA in photography for a lucrative advertising position that twists people’s deepest desires into just another data point.

Though he’s struggling to take his hot rods to the big time, mechanic Raine Reyes won’t accept help from anyone -- certainly not an uptown woman like Lily whose miles-wide reckless streak brings out the repressed bad boy in him. He knows he should run from her offer to be the new face of her next expensive advertising campaign, but he’s too tempted… by her. He sees right through her to the forgotten needs, the neglected fantasies, and the woman she always wanted to be.

This one started out quite interesting. Uptown 41-year-old blonde ad exec Lily crashes into (literally) "downtown" 24-year-old hot, dark and sexy mechanic/hot rod restorer/garage owner Raine. Sparks fly, bodies merge. Lily snaps some steamy photos of Raine (to remember him by) and mistakenly sends them to one of her clients, who is looking to launch a younger men's clothing line. Client loves him, demands he be the model for the clothing line. Raine reluctantly agrees, as a favor to Lily. But he wants Lily to be the one to photograph him. You see, Lily once had her heart set on being a professional photographer, but put that dream aside for something more practical/stable. Raine thinks Lily should follow her dreams. Can Lily give up control and go after what she really desires?

I'm not usually a fan of the older woman/younger man story, but something about this one kept me turning the pages. And I must admit, Raine acted more mature than just 24 years-old. If only it had been developed a little more. There were some hints about the backgrounds of Lily and Raine, but I needed more to feel a bit more connection to them. They certainly had a strong physical chemistry, and there were some steamy times between the two, but I'm not sure if you could call it love yet.

There was an out of left field

The story ended kind of abruptly with a HFN but I'd really like to see this couple down the road. I'm not totally convinced that they could/should make it. I'd like to see if Raine becomes the next big thing in the modeling profession, and how that would impact his relationship with Lily. Will he stick to building hot rods? Will Lily really pursue a career in photography? Somehow, I feel this story is not yet complete. For that reason, I'm giving this one 3 1/2 stars. It kept me interested, but I needed more.

Raine is just a flirty boy, "he eased back on the step stool but didn't let go of her knee. "Maybe you should hit me again." I mean he does have good intentions but where Lily is concerned that sh** goes out the door, "still kissing her, he kicked the step stool back and levered her knee up so he could step between her spread legs. One step and he'd pin her on the counter. He really should give her another chance to walk away. But where his T-shirt had pulled out of his jeans, she curled her fingers behind his belt into the waistband and tugged him closer." Lily that girl loves to give compliments but it's Raine's butt that gets most of them, "you have a nice butt. But it's almost as white as mine." Sometimes Raine has to remember to take things slow, "his co** surged painfully against the buttons of his jeans. God, the things he could do to her to really get her purring. He tightened his hands into fists to hold back the impatience. One step at a time, he knew that." Overall I loved the interactions Lily and Raine would have:
Here eyes widened again as she stared at his raging erection. He let her look her fill as he prowled around the bed to the night stand. He yanked out a brand-new box of condoms - a big box- and thumped it on the table after extracting a foil packet. She smirked. "You're pretty confident, aren't you?"
"I got another box in the glove compartment of the Coupe. And a six-pack in my wallet. I ain't gonna run short again."

A pretty hot and odd couple they make! A Lily-cat and a mechanic!!!

Lily, a perfectly poised 40 something woman with a career in advertising, exuding confidence, and obviously a control freak!

Raine, a 20 something hot mexican stud mechanic with a juvie past, but with enough experience with being look down upon to actually know a thing or two.

He is a natural dominant, and she is a natural submissive that had to learn to take control, of herself, and her environment, so when he tries to take control of the relationship, she is hesitant to relinquish it, but he can see what she wants, and actually understands her. The problem is if she is ever going to let go, to go after what she wants, instead of going after security!

The whole of the book, is how they are together, it's a short book, with its amazing parts, it's sweet parts, and its worrisome parts.

Everything is fine until the end, there is a threesome there, I don't mind reading about a threesome, the problem here is the way that its achieved, I simply do not see how two guys vieing for the same girl will go to the extreme of sharing her and even kissing only to prove to the other guy or to the girl who is going to win, or to show her who is better, a head to head competition (pun intended).

The book could of done perfectly fine with out this scene, since it seems kind of forced, and kid of out of the blue.

I received a copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads, so here is my review. Lily Bishop is trying to land an ad campaign for the Rebel A line of clothing and make-up. But there are other ad agencies trying to get the job. So she goes back to her office and her settled life. When she heads home on her bike, the wheels in her mind are turning even faster the normal. She runs through a stop sign and runs into a Coupe. The driver of the Coupe is more worried about her then his vintage car. He takes her back to his shop, where he restores old cars, and patches her up and a few other things. The sex between Lily and Raine is HOT! Lily wants him and only for the night will she give in to her fantasy. Raine Reyes is as sexy and muscled as the cars he restores. She takes a few pictures of him before she leaves but instead of sending the pictures to her personal email, she sends them to Arebella, Rebel A owner. And Arebella wants him as her spokesperson. And Arebella usually gets what she wants. Lily wants more with Raine but she sees the age difference as the main problem. he makes her want to change and not settle in her life. There are a few interesting things happening along the way. Can she see that he only wants what is best for her? He doesn't want to control her, just inspire her to do what makes her happy. Will Raine give up on her or fight to make her see what he sees? This is a first for me by Jenna Dales and I loved it. A great story and I look forward to reading Thrill Me (Hot Rod #2) coming soon.

*** I have received an ARC via NetGalley ***

Let me tell you that I enjoyed Jenna Dales' writing style, the characters were interesting and likeable and the smut scenes smoking hot.
Lily and Raine make an explosive couple together and I liked, that Lily was a woman who knew what she wanted (and went for it), even though she had her vulnerable moments due to her work.

But!
I'd have appreciated a warning (in the blurb) that this story had a

But that scene was a big, fat "NO" for me, the ensuing jealousy Raine felt and his feelings... it was painful to read, probably because I was already so "invested" and half in love with Raine myself ;)

After that, I kinda lost interest in Lily and Raine as a couple.
Does that make me a prude?
Dunno (judging from the books I'm reading, no), but a small note in the blurb would've made my reading experience a LOT better; I still would have read the book, with a different mindset and probably a different rating... because without a warning, I felt blindsided by it.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

High powered ad exec Lily Bishop has her hands full trying to land a new account. Taking her frustration out during her afternoon bike ride, she plows through the stop sign and sends her bike into the path of an oncoming car. Thankfully, Raine Reyes is quick on his feet and manages to avoid hitting Lily. Her bike wasn't so lucky.

Lily thinks he's hot, but entirely too young for her. Snapping a couple of photos of Raine to be viewed at her leisure, she accidently sends them to one of her potential accounts.

Raine is not thrilled that he's being asked to model for some celebrity wanna be's new fashion line, but quickly realizes its the best way he can keep in close contact with Lily.

Lily and Raine must over come their own demons and insecurities to even attempt a relationship, but first, each of them must figure out what they want out of life.

Ummm…good, yeah, good…up until the totally out of place three way…just saying, it threw me! But Raine was awesome! He totally did not seem like he was 24, more like 32 would have been a good age for him and he still be younger than Lily. He had so much go on in his life and “he learned from his many mistakes” thus made me think he was just through his twenties. Totally shocked that he was 24 (had too much money, confidence and life experience). Lily, on the other hand, turned her life over to fate and said, “Please just make me money.” Dirty little whore, I mean, advertising executive!

When they meet it is magic and their instant chemistry is awesome! I loved how Raine brings out the real Lily and encouraged her to be herself. The story was somewhat smooth sailing and expected up until the aforementioned three way….totally crazy and random to me, but hot! Worth a read, check it out…Enjoy!

I received an arc of this book from NETGALLEY. I really liked this book. Lily is a 40 something woman who doesn't like what she is doing anymore. Her job is starting to suck and she wants to do something different. As she is riding home in the rain. she almost gets hit by a guy in a hot car. Raine finds her lying against the curb as he gets out of the car. They have an instant chemistry but are like night and day, As the older woman younger man comes into play. They start off as friends and go from there. Where they become a very sexy couple . Boy there were some hot sex scenes in the book. Which I personally love by the way. The hotter the better. There was just one thing that i was confused about . The threesome. I usually like reading threesome but when you think about it . It was kind a weird cause two men vying for her attention probably wouldn't share her. But other then that it was a great book for the summer.

"I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads."

Career woman meets back on the tracks, off the scale gorgeous, but younger garage owner and sparks fly ...

There is a LOT of hotness in this book, but chapter 17 is off the scales ... Possibly one of the steamiest chapters I have ever read - and I read a lot!!

I really enjoyed this book; it mixes hardness with softness so stylishly and seductively. I am really looking forward to the next one.

Having recently read Kissing Drake (Butterfly Girls) also by Jenna Dale; she is definitely on my To Be Read list.

Complimentary copy provided by the author/publisher in exchange for an honest review.

Lily is in her early forties, an advertising executive living in Portland. She is good at what she does; however she can’t help but feel that something is missing in her life. She is single, previously having a friends with benefits type of arrangement with colleague turned competitor Fitzpatrick Boone. When the book opens she is pitching a new ad campaign to Arebella, the spoiled rich girl who needs no last name. The campaign could be a huge win to the agency and while Lily is confident in her abilities, she isn’t particularly confident in her ability to work with Arebella.

Raine is in his mid-twenties and is the owner of his own garage, where he works restoring classic cars. When he makes the acquaintance of Lily one night, by hitting her on her bike in his car, his world is rocked by the tall, shapely woman. He brings her back to the garage in order to help her clean up and to assess the damage to her bike. It is there that the sexual tension between the two ramps up and Lily does something completely uncharacteristic, she has hot sex with Raine on his desk.

Raine is not the type to do relationships and Lily can’t really see herself with a man that is over fifteen years her junior, however there is no denying the chemistry between the two. When Lily accidentally sends photos of Raine to Arebella, the client whose project she is currently working on, Arebella is interested in Raine to be the face of her new clothing line. Lily convinces him to take advantage of the opportunity, as it can help him with the income and recognition needed to really get his auto restoration business off the ground.

Raine helps to convince Lily that her current career is not her dream, and she is losing herself in the day-to-day drudgery of not pursuing her creative side as the photographer she once aspired to be. When she takes test shots of Raine for the ad campaign, it becomes apparent that Lily indeed has a gift, and with Raine’s urging, she stops to reflect on what would most make her happy and how to go from there.

As the relationship with Raine heats up, Fitz decides to insert himself back into Lily’s life. There’s no denying the appeal Fitz has to Lily, especially given they are the same age and work in the same field. When Lily is forced to choose between the two men, she has to ask herself if she wants to take a chance with the younger Raine and follow the dreams she has always had as a photographer, or continue on the same path with the safe bet, Fitz. The scene in which the entire book is building to is hot, hot, hot! I won’t give away any spoilers, but if you’re a fan of ménage, this scene does not disappoint!

Inspire Me was a fast, easy read that is well written with interesting characters that have depth. It’s nice, for once, to see a May/December romance in which the woman is the older party, without the desperation that comes with the title of “cougar”. While Lily often times doubts her relationship with Raine, she is still strong enough to realize that she is worthy of the relationship and is willing to open her heart and mind to pursuing a future with him. My biggest grievance with the book though is that I am not a fan of instalove kind of books. I understand instant attraction, however I have a hard time buying falling in love immediately. This is the first in the series and I’m definitely looking forward to more!

Received Arc from net Galley for an honest review!

I have a new book boyfriend he is 24 , a mechanic who refurbishes classic cars , h is cut and well muscled and believes in fighting for his dreams, his name is Raine Reyes , oh and did I tell you he is hot as hell!

Well he really he is not mine , but a girl can dream; as it turns out he really is more Lily Bishop's. The two met in an unconventional way,Lily rides her bike home, good exercise and good for the environment so good for Lily , however when your not paying attention and blow a stop sign into an intersection and you have seconds to decide to fly over the Ford Coupe or put the bike to the ground, the ground seems more practical and next you now your bike is sliding under the car and Lily hitting her head on the ground and the coupe coming to a stop on a dime. Lily finds herself curled in a ball and bleary eyed and looking up into a drop dead gorgeous face telling her to stay still he is calling an ambulance.
Lily shakes offthe fog, convinces Raine she is fine and gets a lift to his repair shop so,she can call a cab, but Raine is one of those super protective men so when he sees her road rash on her legs the doctoring begins which leads to extremely hot sex on the office counter! So what is troubling Lily after, the fact she just had sex with a stranger, no, more the fact that she realizes he is much younger than her.
I jumped the gun here a little, so i should probably give you some Lily background; lily is a marketing agent for a firm called Firewater in Portland, single and though we never get her age late 30's early forties , she is really a photographer at heart, she gve it up to pay the bills a longtime ago. So what brought her to running a stop sign was her mind on a new add campaign called Rebel A , a men's clothing line by Arabella a L.A star of nothing other than always being in the news.

Two quickly snapped pictures of. Hot half naked. Raine taken for herself , winds up causing Raine to be pulled into the added campaign, lily screwed up sent the pictures to Arabella when trying to send the to her home email.

What comes after are some incredible sex scenes , a man who has insight into her that scares the hell out of her and one ofthe best M/F/M sex scenes I have read!
Lily, though still doubts herself to spite Raine pushing her , believing in her and trying to inspire her to go back o photography, and in the end heushes her to choose what she wants becaus clearly , her age diffrence an financial disparity obviously bothers her, Raine walks away and leaves her to choose .
What happens , with the add campaign, who is in the 3 way, do they get an HEA, does Raine model? All these answers and more await you, grab a book and read!

5 Stars!!!
5 Red Hot Flames!!!

Raine Reyes is a HOT bad boy. I loved this SUPER HOT book. I think I burned up the screen of my kindle with this book. It was just that scorching. I read it in one setting because I. Could. Not. Put. It. Down. I wanted to know all about Raine.

Raine and Lily do not waste any time getting right down the nitty-gritty. I love that in a book. Raine knows what he wants just like most Alpha male character’s do. Lily is unsure of herself and which direction she would like her life to go. When Lily meets Raine all bets are off. We have a somewhat forbidden romance because of age difference. There is an ex-boyfriend that still has feelings for Lily and Raine wants what is his, Lily. The three of them have a mind-blowing experience that will question all of Lily’s motives for the future and she must make a decision on what she wants. Will it be Fitzpatrick or Raine? Read to find out.

This book is mildly angsty. Lily gets stuck on the fact that she has worked so hard to make a better life for herself but she does not realize that so has Raine. At times she thinks she is better than Raine. He straightens her out. The book was a refreshing read. It does have the boy meets girl and they hit it off instantly but the way they meet and what happens to their relationship takes you on some twists and turns. Lovely twists and turns.

I did feel the ending was a little rushed and left me wanting a little more. Then I realized there would be another installment in this series. I CANNOT WAIT!!! You can read this book as a stand-alone.

This is my first book by Jenna Dale and believe me it will not be my last. I would recommend this book to all of you lovers of Erotic Romance.

Quotes:

“What do you mean by ‘your woman’?” The hesitation in her voice almost killed him. He nuzzled her hair. “You smell like me,” he murmured. “You taste like me. Pretty sure that makes you mine.” – Raine

“I was so bus selling myself to everyone else, I forgot to sell myself to you, to convince you you needed me” – Fitzpatrick

“You saw something in me where no one else has. Hell, when even I didn’t. You make me believe I can do anything. You’re my dream, Lily, and every step I take, I want it to be closer to you.” – Raine

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Lily Bishop has her life planned out. Working as an ad exec after she quite mid way thru a degree for her MFA (Master of Fine Arts) in photography she is determined to prove that she has what is needed to succeed. She is poised and always in control. While on a bike ride home after a horrible day at work she crashes her bike (quite literally) into Raine Reyes hot rod car. At the time she doesn't know what is more beautiful.... his car or him. Raine doesn't know what to think of the blond 40 something bombshell. He is attracted but worries that Lily won't think he's good enough for her and her lifestyle. After all he is a mere mechanic.

When pictures Lily took of Raine fall into the wrong hands he is suddenly being looked at as the next model of her big advertising campaign. Not really comfortable with the offer he agrees, only for her, as long as she agrees to be the one to photograph him. Lily finds herself confused about her "relationship" with Raine. He wants more but she believes he is too young for her at the age of 24.

Raine is flirty, sweet, sexy, and mature for his tender years. While at the beginning of the book I also had misgivings about the apparent age difference I was impressed on how he handled most of the situations that came up. I have to admit the whole him, Lily, and Fitz scene left me going WHAT?! But it was definitely hot!

Lily was a little harder for me to gage. I expected a woman of her age to know herself and what she wanted more. Guess she just needed that extra push from someone who really cared to make her see what was already in front of her.

It was a quick, fun, read.

*I received an ARC from NetGalley and the publisher, Red Circle Ink, for an honest review.

Inspire Me is an erotic May/December romance between ad exec, Lily Bishop and the owner of a Hot Rod garage, Raine Reyes. He is twenty-four with a troubled past, and she is...well,we never really find out how old she is. My guess is 40-ish. This is not a cougar situation. She was not looking for a relationship...and certainly not one with a younger man. They met when she crashed her bicycle into a car that he had refurbished and was test driving. There was immediate chemistry between the two of them, and their story launches from that chance encounter. Raine is an old soul. He has packed a lot of life experience into his twenty-four years. Lily has been living a necessary life...giving up her dream job in photography for something solid that would pay the bills. She has been very successful at it, and lives in a penthouse apartment that is paid off. Raine has realized his dream of owning his grandfather's garage, but has debts left to pay. Lily offers him a job as a model for a new ad campaign. It pays a LOT of money, and the client has asked for him specifically after Lily inadvertently sent some candid pictures of Raine to her client, instead of to herself (as she had intended). As their relationship progresses, they both realize that it has potential, though Lily is very apprehensive. Watching them peel the layers of their relationship was page turning goodness. Who could not fall in love with Raine? He is complex sexiness...the perfect combination of alpha bossy versus gentle thoughtfulness.

I would love to follow their story in future books. I just know they will have a happy ending. This was not a cliff-hanger...just hard to put down.

I was a bit unsure how to rate this book. Although I couldn't relate to the romance, the sexiness..well, I could envy that. The first encounter of the twenty something mechanic hero and the forty something career driven heroine was sexy. It was a fantasy come true, and though you might blame it on the high adrenaline-they met after a mild accident after all- what comes in the following chapters was no adrenaline driven moment of wildness.

Although I did love the level of spice in this book, I can't say the same about the romance. I can understand and relate to the wariness of the heroine towards having and maintaining a relationship to a younger man, albeit a physical one. The young hero had to face some insecurities of his own, since he was a mechanic who had faced some jail time because of past mistakes, not to mention he didn't earn as much as the heroine. All this could've presented a much better handled challenge romance wise, but it failed short to satisfy me. Maybe it was because this story had a somewhat shorter page number, or because it leaned towards more erotica than romance, but if it did properly deliver this romance aspect, it would've gotten a much higher rating from me.
The sex though, well, it was pretty damn good. From the reckless-in a good way I guess- introduction to the sexy surprise towards the end, it was all satisfying- at least as satisfied as a gal can be reading it.

For its role in increasing my level of sexual frustration, I'm giving this book three stars. I envied the heroine for getting a good service for herself and her car, since mine keeps coming back from the shop with more problems than I sent it with. Ah, the problems of a non fictional life..

If I was reviewing the cover alone I'd give it 10 out of 5! but I'm not so lets go to the story itself, written by Jenna Dales, Inspire Me is the first book in the Hot Rod series.

Ad Exec Lily is no shrinking violet but when she literally runs in to Raine Reyes - now is it me or is Raine a girl's name, I would have preferred him to have a manlier name, he comes to her rescue as she crashes her bike in to his car.

He takes her back to his garage and makes sure she is ok but they have instant attraction and things end up getting steamy!

He can't get her out of his head, and she keeps remembering their encounter too, luckily for Lily she took a couple of photo's to remind herself but unfortunately one of them ends up in the hands of her hard to please client and before they know it Lily and Raine are thrown together again as Raine is used as the model for her client's campaign.

His good looks being a sure fire hit, but being a man obsessed with his hot rod business will he be able to cope with his new position.

This book was ok, there was a ton of sex in it so if you like that, you will love this, Lily is also a lot older than Raine.

Together they rediscover forgotten ambitions and forge together with new ones.

This book wasn't really for me but it was well written and the sparks certainly flew when the two were together.

Inspire Me is awarded award 3 out of 5

This was a new author for me, and even thought the copy I reviewed was an uncorrected advance proof, I was pleasantly surprised to find very few typos or other mistakes.

The story was a nice piece of escapism, easily holding my attention over the course of a couple of evenings. I liked the male lead, Raine Reyes more than the other characters. Because of events in his life, he's more mature than your average 26-year-old, and very clear about what he wants in life - the complete opposite of the heroine, who doesn't seem to know what she wants in her career or who she wants in her bed. She constantly blames her reticence on their age difference - she is 41 to his 26. It was only logical, given his background, that he wasn't willing to continue to beg for her attention when she kept pushing him into a neat little box labelled "hot hook-up."

While the sex was fairly hot, in places it seemed forced, as if the characters were performing someone else's fantasies rather than their own. This is particularly true of the menage scene near the end of the book. While it was a great scene from an erotic standpoint, it didn't seem in character for either of the men involved, especially Fitz, a former lover and coworker.

As I said, it's a nice piece of escapism, with some enjoyable sex, and in a certain frame of mind I don't ask for more than that from my fiction.

Review: I was given a complimentary copy of Inspire Me by Reading bliss for an honest review.
We start out in Portland, with Lily crashing into another car and meets a handsome stranger. His touch is powerful and she has flashbacks to twenty years ago. She traded her MFA in photography for an advertising position. Raine doesn’t want to accept help from anyone. He definitely doesn’t want help from Lily. He wants to run from her offer but he’s tempted by her. He sees the real her and wants to make her the woman she could be. Lily accidently sends pictures of Raine to a potential client and that is how Raine got offered the modeling job. He wants to be around Lily. They have a connection but neither of them wants to admit it. I really enjoyed this book. It was different. The threesome kind of threw me off. I guess I wasn’t expecting it. "Still kissing her, he kicked the step stool back and levered her knee up so he could step between her spread legs. One step and he'd pin her on the counter. He really should give her another chance to walk away. But where his T-shirt had pulled out of his jeans, she curled her fingers behind his belt into the waistband and tugged him closer."
I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

This story goes from zero to redline immediately. Raine and Lily meet and the sparks quickly fly between them. This is not a story of denied attraction and fleeting glances across the room. Put these two together and they burn up the pages. After an impulsive moment, Lily snaps a few photos of Raine to send to her email but accidentally forwards them to a client. Of course the client is determined to have Raine as the model for her fashion line and Lily has to make it happen.

I was surprised at how quickly this book hooked me. However as the story progressed I felt that the plot was sacrificed for the sex scenes. Great if you like an abundance of steam in your story, not so great when you like the plot as more than a side dish. One scene in particular tipped the scale for me. It was awkward to read and left me shaking my head wondering where the heck that came from...and more to the point, why?

Overall, I liked the story but was disappointed that didn't quite reach the potential established early on in the book.

Lily and Raine meet one evening when Lily is riding her bike home and almost hits his car when she plows through a stop sign. Even though their is a big difference in ages they have an immediate attraction.

The plot was so thin on this book that it was hard for me to believe that Lily and Raine could have anything past lust for each other. Raine seemed far more mature and focused than you would think for his age. He was the driving force of the relationship and pushed Lily to make choices for herself.

This was an extremely steamy book and I will admit to skimming some intimate scenes because they just didn't interest me as they didn't seem to move the story along. There was also a bizarre encounter near the end that just had me reading with my mouth open.

This is the first book from this author for me, and it is the first in a new series - I will reserve judgment on reading book 2 until I read the blurb.

I received this book from the publisher via NetGalley for my honest review.

While I struggled to get past the really early quickie in the beginning of this story, Lily and Raine (bugged me that I felt this was a girl’s name and I wanted a more masculine name to go with the image in my head) grew on me as 2 people who were trying to make it but in different ways. From Raines’ perspective, Lily has got it made with a good job, plenty money and Lily’s eyes Raine had it made because he was following his passion. This was a story of discovery for both of them, finding their way, their passion separately and together. Though the tension and story arc kept me turning the pages, I wish I knew more about them. Though they were fully developed for the purpose of this novella, I felt they were a little incomplete, I needed a bit more backstory. I liked that the end of this was their kind of beginning. Maybe there will be part 2 where they deal with their role changes and their relationship. Hot and fast paced.

I Received the Arc from NetGalley for an honest review!

Lilly is frustrated with work, and she really needs to land this new client. She is riding her bike home at doesnt see the car coming and ends up wiping out. Raine the driver who is 24 years old mechanic takes her back to his garage to see if she is okay, one thing leads to the other and they have hot monkey sex. Lily snaps some photos of Raine to always remember him by and mistakenly sends them to her email list, the one email is the client she was trying to win earlier that day who is looking to launch a younger men's clothing line. The client loves him, wants him to model for her clothing line. Raine agrees only because Lily wants him too. There is more to the story of each others past and what they want for the future, just have to read it to find out.

Its hot book, enjoyed it. The characters were fun and interesting.

One of the hottest books I’ve read in a long time, I really fell in love with Lily and Raine, they are one of the sexiest couples I’ve ever read. I really enjoyed the way they kind of fell into each other’s path almost literally.

I really loved that it wasn’t an easy courtship, they had the physical relationship from the moment they met, but they needed to build the foundation for a real relationship. There are some ups and downs, and some misunderstandings and some serious fabulous moments. These two are meant for each other, and yes, there is an age difference but it goes to show that age is just a number, and when you click you click.

I seriously recommend this story, and will be watching and following this author. She’s won me over with her style and ability to create a story that immersed me fully in the world.

MMmmkkkk! I started this book, and it was so hard to put down! Page turner... Raine, a 24 year old mechanic is driving his coupe down the street, when Lily blows the stop sign, and ends up blowing something else! Ha! Her bike is damaged as is her heart. Lily had given up and settled for the life she now has. But will she find the strength the allow Raine to storm into her life and turn it upside down? I loved this book! As a reader you can feel the hotness between the two! That makes for a book that you will continue reading until the very last page.

The story begins on a rainy night when Lily Bishop a 40yr old woman is biking home after a tough day working as a an add executive. While going too fast literally crashes into Raine Reyes and his beautiful hot rod car. She's attracted to him straight away, and he's attracted to Lily. As he's only a mechanic, should he make a move? Am I good enough for her?

That is the beginning of this enjoyable book. Lily offer's Raine a job as a model for her next add campaign, he's not really interested but after the one nightstand with Lily he agrees only if she takes the photo's herself. That's when the relationship becomes steamy.

Their first night becomes more and more which are very hot and there is a threesome which was a surprise so be warned.
I enjoyed this short hot book and will be reading more of this authors work in the future.

This book was great! Lilly a 40 something sexy uptown girl looking for something different in a sexy 20 something man. Lilly runs into Raine in a very different way sparking something neither of them would ever expect. One accidental email puts them in a position where he has to decide to make a decision that could change his whole life and hers in a big way.
This book was fun, sexy and every girls fantasy. Lilly is strong and independent thinking one foot in front of the other just making it through her work day after giving up on her dreams to be a responsible adult. Raine is a ruff and tough bad boy who works hard to get what he wants. Together when they collide they are combustible. This is a must read I could not stop turning the pages.

Raine isn't your typical bad boy- yes, he's had some troubles in the past & he is magnificent looking but he's not a player. He is focused on making something of himself. Lily has lost sight of her dreams and because of her past has made a safe life for herself. When she crashes into Raine, he opens her eyes to what she's been missing out. Lily isn't a young women, but rather a woman in her early 40's where Raine is in his early 20's making things that much more complicated for Lily anyway. Lily has some decisions to make because Raine isn't going to chase after her anymore. Some very, hot, juicy, steamy sex scenes. The ending was good enough but because of the age complication I would have liked a bit more of their future.

3.5 stars... An unlikely match - upper class successful beautiful 40-year old woman and a HOT 25-year old mechanic. Raine is reaching for the stars and working hard to distance himself from his troubled criminal past while proving to the world he is worth something. Lily is coasting through life, not happy or fulfilled, choosing security over her dreams. The pull between them is strong but do they have what it takes to make it work between them given their different places in life? Overall, good book but I wish the kid was a bit older and maybe she was just a bit younger to make it a little more believable.

WOW - This was a book that was hot and steamy from beginning to the end that unfortunately happened I feel too soon.

Lily is a 40 something Ad Executive who when biking home one night after work crashed into Raine, a young 20 something mechanic. There was an instant incredible connection between the two that went beyond what either one had ever felt or experienced before. Would it continue or be grounded fast when Lily sent some pictures she had taken of him were forwarded to one of her clients who wanted him to model for her company.

Lily is 40 years old and has a job in advertising. While riding her bike home one night she crashes into someone's car. Raine is in his 20's and is a mechanic and offers to fix Lilys bike. After that first night of being together they both continue to "hook up" and when someone sees the pictures Lily took of Raine they want to offer him a gig modeling. The story was mostly about Raine and Lilys relationship. I was hoping we would be told more about their pasts. I don't know if they will stay in a relationship or not but this story definitely proves age is just a number.
