This does exactly what it says: hies through all the basics of water color painting in a very clear concise way. The pictures make the steps easy to see. The lessons build on each other from simple compositions to more complex.
The colors used are garish and unappealing. Maybe it's the printing of the book? The portraits of the people and the dog were much better than the rest of the book. I'm glad I didn't purchase this book--got it at the library.
An Informative and useful book for beginners and intermediates wishing to brush up on their skills. Clear, concise lessons from easy to more intricate projects.
It's a perfect book for beginners. Very easy to follow steps and the projects given are also very interesting. I wish there were more lessons included.
While at first, I thought the projects would be simple skies and landscapes. But as we progress, there are some nice pets and even a human. While not the most beginner friendly I’ve read, these projects are still simply laid out so anyone would be tempted to try. A nice book!
