In 2021 Madison Central High School’s baseball team was named by Baseball America the High School Baseball Team of the Year. Mississippi State University won the Men’s College World Series and were crowned the 2021 NCAA Division I National Baseball Champions. Pearl River Community College won the 2022 National Junior College Athletic Association Division II College World Series. Ole Miss capped off a 13-month run in June of 2022 by winning the Men’s College World series and another baseball championship for the state of Mississippi. This book includes brief historical information about the baseball programs of each institution and details how they won their championships. The author James R. (Jim) Crockett loves all things Mississippi and is a life-long baseball fan.
