I LOVED the premise of this book! I thought the type A architect and whimsical artsy baker would be the cutest story! Plus, so many things to crumble (pun intended) with this life size cookie house that the author could’ve played off of. I understand it’s really hard to show personalities and connection in a 33 page novella. But there was zero banter. All conversation was solely about Christmas memories while the author just said “after hours of banter”. Like uhhh that’s what I’m here for is the hours of banter. If this was marketed young adult I would rate it probably 2.5-3⭐️. Definitely gave the Christmas vibes. If this was longer and the author gave us actual banter this has the potential to be a great Christmas romcom. But these 33 pages fell short.
