Secrets unravel and alliances are tested as Sayah's world teeters on the brink of chaos, where the line between friend and foe blurs. With war on the horizon and her own powers spiraling out of control, Sayah must confront her deepest fears and embrace her true destiny. But when betrayal strikes and tragedy looms, Sayah must harness the power within her to save those she loves—or risk losing everything to the encroaching shadows.
Inara Gage is an indie author who lives in the foothills of Colorado with her son, Gauge, her mastador, Khaleesi, kitty Nox, and her bunny tWitch. Ms. Gage has a master's degree in business administration with a graduate certificate in marketing. She has three published works: two in The Sorenya Chronicles: A Witch's Aura and Aura's Dilemma. The first book in The Beautifully Broken Saga: A Bond with the Dark Book I releases this summer. When she is not writing her fantastical stories, she is busy reading ALL the books and playing video games with her kid!
I needed a bit of time to gather my thoughts after reading this amazing book. There is so much happening with the story in this second book of the series, so many changes, so many twists. I honestly needed time to find the right words before writing this review.
This second book in the series picks up right where we left off at the end of the first. So we dive headfirst into the revelations and (new) problems. Those problems and complications will only increase in this book, and I just wanted to give Sayah a big hug. She has already been through so much, and she is so strong. But even strong women need a break every now and then.
There is so much going on in this book, there is lots of action and so many secrets to uncover and mysteries to solve. But also a lot of heartbreak and longing, secret desires. The burn between characters is quite slow, but when that burn ignites, it explodes! There are fireworks, there is so much passion, it’s so worth the wait!
That ending though! THAT.ENDING! 😱 It ends on a cliffhanger, and ofcourse Inara has me wanting more. 😉
WHAT A BOOK! I am in love with the character development in this second book as well as the plot. I love seeing Sayah develop more and find out more about herself as well as following her heart (ahhhhhhh). And that ending omg. I cannot wait for book 3!
“The beauty of her soul decorates her aura and dresses her up like a shining ball gown, her heart as pure gold delicately interlaced as the ribbons on that gown.”
One of my favorite things about Sayah is that her character is so relatable. Book one gave us her incredible backstory, and showed us how she endured so much pain and loss and came out the other side stronger, more determined, and ready to keep fighting. As she works to help find and rescue Dom, she try’s to work out her feelings for him. He is the reason for a large part of her pain, even though it happened before they were together. I don’t know for sure how I would react in that situation. Dom! Gah! I’m so conflicted!
"Sayah, I would hold you forever if you let me."
In this book we see Sayah and Bash team up to find Dom, which further forces the development of a relationship between them. With the deep and lustful feelings they both experienced in their shared dreams looming in the background, they still try their best to keep each other at arms length. I loved seeing Bash’s character grow. The way he expressed his feelings for Sayah was heart melting, and seeing how he began changing because of them pushed me over to team Bash. Bad boyz 4 life!
“You have fucking ruined me. To the deepest . . . depths . . . of my forsaken soul.”
A Bond with the Blood of Angels is the second book in the Beautifully Broken Saga, and it picks up right where the chaos leaves off. In this book, Sayah finds herself falling for the other brother (yes, the drama continues!) while also diving deeper into her magical powers and bloodlines. As death, danger, and mayhem seem to follow her everywhere, Sayah has to team up with beings she would rather not, to protect the people she loves.
I really wanted to love this book. Honestly, I did. The plot’s strong enough to keep you turning the pages, and the characters are definitely easy to root for. But I wasn’t head over heels like I hoped.
The main hiccup for me was the endless internal monologues. I’d say a good 50 pages could’ve been trimmed off without losing the plot—and I might’ve been even more invested.
Also, something about the writing style didn’t quite click with me. I felt like there were moments where I just... zoned out. It could be the internal dialog overload that did it, but I couldn’t help but feel a little bored at times.
That said, the plot and characters still have me intrigued enough to continue with the series I need to know what happens next! Plus, there's fun little (let's call them Easter eggs) in the story that gave me Vampire Diaries vibes— I was mentally drawing parallels the whole time.
Oh! And let’s not forget about the spice—oh my gawd—it’s definitely on fire! If you're into some sizzling romance, this book has you covered. I do wish there was more of it though!
I received this book as an ARC and was asked to leave a review. My thoughts are totally my own, and yours might be different! So go ahead and check out other reviews and see if The Beautifully Broken series is your cup of tea. Happy reading! 💛
I need book 3 right now - wow, what an ending! 😱 There is a lot of interesting history and world building in this one - exposing secrets and breaking hearts. There’s a war brewing and book 2 leads the build-up to what is sure to be an epic battle between the Luminara Domain and the Neverdusk Dominion.
I disliked this book moreso than the first one. i feel like the author tried to do an enemies to lovers feel with Bash and Sayah but to me, it was really badly done. I didn’t feel any chemistry with them, and suddenly she views Dom as a monster when Bash has been unapologetically worse since he was introduced? it just makes me dislike Sayah. There’s just not a lot of character development on any of the characters to let the reader really get to know them or feel anything for them. When Sayah and Bash are face to face about to kiss, it didn’t even feel genuine. It felt sooooooooo forced & Bash saying all these romantic things in that moment but when we’re LITERALLYy in his head, he doesn’t think like that hardly at all. The connection isn’t explained, we don’t see reasons he would be amused or intrigued by Sayah in the first place. He’s just automatically in love with her but also willing to bring Dom back to her? Idk it all feels weird and i can’t get into it. i’m halfway through will edit if my opinion changes on any of this. But this has been a tough read so far

This book continues where the first book leaves off. Poor Dom is under mind control and ends up going off the rails for awhile. Meanwhile Sayah, Bash, and Dom’s family are trying to rescue Scarlett and find Dom. Now I love Bash, but he has got to be the dumbest vampire ever. He made bad decision after bad decision throughout this book, while not actually putting two and two together. However, his relationship with Sayah makes up for some of his stupidity. They are so good together but each are blocked by their own baggage. When they finally realize their love for each other, woo hoo! The wait for them to get together was so worth it. Then everything goes sideways again. Curse you, you crazy cliffhanger. Impatiently waiting for book 3 now.
I really enjoyed this one, I was excited to learn more about these characters I met in book 1 and they didn't disapoint. Inara writes a good story, the plot is great, the descriptions are fantastic, there's depth to the characters and the romance is beautifully written!
There were a couple of things that were underwhelming for me personally, it wasn't bad, I was just expecting more from it. That being said I still really enjoyed the book as a whole, it has a lot of amazing moments and I can't wait to see where the story goes next.
That cliffhanger 😮 how could you leave me hanging like that?! I need the next book now! Yes, I'm impatient 😆 but I need to know what happens!
A Bond with the Blood of Angels, by Inara Gage is the second book in The Beautifully Broken Saga. I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. If you like romantasy books, this book is for you. It has vampires, witches, demons, angels, shifters, and fae. There is a love triangle involving two brothers and is a slow burn. It checks so many of the boxes that so many of us love. I have been team Bash from the beginning, so that made this book even better for me. All of the characters are uniquely their own and I enjoyed getting to know each of the better. I can not wait for book three, it will be a must read for me.
This book had me feeling ALL THE FEELINGS! It had tons of character development with some new additions. Twist turns and some things I saw coming but was glad about. Can’t wait for book 3 🤗 I think I know what the title will be 😊 it’ll be interesting to see if I’m correct.
I love the world building with this book. The demons, vampires, form weavers, and Fae. So much going on and add in the only phoenixes. It is so easy to get drawn in. I can not wait to see where this goes next.
So I just finished this book! Let me start by saying that I am so thankful to the author for giving me an ARC! The story picks up right where the first book left off! This was a rollercoaster! It was very action packed, one thing after the other happened! I continue to love the characters and this book also brought me my new favourite couple (don’t want to give any spoilers)! And that ending…I NEED BOOK THREE!
