Fun short stories! Loved this author. Has several children's books that are so old school and good.

Tall Tales from the High Hills and Other Stories was first released in 1957. It is has been suggested that it is suited for an adult audience. The stories would actually appeal to an audience of any age. There is nothing objectionable in the content. The dialect would provide an enjoyable opportunity for reading aloud to children.

Theses Blue Ridge Mountain stories are filled with backwoods humor and jargon. Readers will find the characters, their problems and their ultimate solutions engaging. At 156 pages, this book of twenty tall tales is a quick and pleasant read.
