Definitely not a dark romance, but a nice, easy going romantasy debut novella.

This would have been a 3 star read if not for the ending.
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
How she forgave her mother so quickly for killing her father, friends and almost herself is beyond me.
I understand her mother went through grief but that gave her no excuse to nearly drown her.
It’s a novella so I was expecting the story to be a little rushed, but the ending really let this one down unfortunately.
