Tricks, the elf, has a boyfriend. Or, so she says. His name is Janoma and Stephen takes an instant dislike to him. He’s not the only one, because Zenith, the beloved pet wolf of Tricks, also appears to share Stephen’s distrust of the interloper. Of course, when I say ‘Stephen’, I really mean ‘Stephens’ because there are now two of them, if you can believe such a thing. Phil, the bioengineering genius, has found a way to install Stephen into two identical fairy clones instead of just the one. Talk about doubling your fun because he can now be with the ever gorgeous Tracey as well as the beautiful Thorn at the same time. How lucky can one person be? But things aren’t all roses in the garden because Janoma unexpectedly suggests a wilderness trip, causing Stephen to wonder about his ulterior motives. Exactly what is he up to here? An ancient secret the group stumble upon on their trek is both surprising and disturbing, leading to all sorts of personal revelations, some welcome and others not. And there’s another problem.
