When a fallen golden boy who has lost everything moves in with a girl involved with the mafia, a potentially fatal romance is forged.
Seventeen-year-old Tyler Winston has it all: a state senator for a father, a valedictorian girlfriend, and a high school basketball team on the verge of victory. But when his father dies, Tyler's charmed life in Scottsdale, Arizona, collapses. Forced to move across town to the notorious South Phoenix 'hood, Tyler finds himself living with a family friend he has never met.
Aurora Giordano seems to lead a respectable life, but beneath the surface, she is entangled in the mafia, helping her mother dispose of bodies and clean up after mob hits. The last thing she needs is a privileged "Snobbsdale" boy invading her home and threatening her carefully constructed façade.
Late-night talks between Tyler and Aurora spark an unexpected connection, but their burgeoning romance is fraught with danger. As Aurora’s possessive boyfriend looms and Tyler grapples with his profound sense of loss, the stakes escalate when Aurora’s darkest secret emerges—a revelation that could destroy her and put lives at risk.
Life in South Phoenix is anything but easy. For Tyler and Aurora, survival depends on knowing when to hold on and when to let go, navigating a perilous path where love and danger intertwine.

Really great book. This book was about Tyler. He was living in Scottsdale Arizona with his dad. He was a senator and he didn’t have a lot of time for him. Tyler played basketball for his high school. His father showed up at the last second and it hurt Tyler. Tyler wished he could have his dad back the way he used to before he lost his mom. Tyler and his dad had a huge fight that night and he never had the chance to make it right. His father died. His whole life was uprooted. He was a minor so he had to live with his guardian which turned out to be his mom’s best friend. Had to move but all the properties were passed to him so he had somewhere to go if needed. This is where he met Aurora and her mom Sofia. Sofia was appointed as his guardian and Aurora was her daughter who was the same age. They spent time getting to know each other and became friends. Her boyfriend Paolo was not happy with it. He felt Tyler trying to take his life from him. The girl and basketball. Paolo was a mean person to Aurora especially. I love how it played out.
This is a new author to me and will definitely be reading more of her books. This is a YA mafia romance that's full of surprises and I loved it.
In this book it's telling the story of Tyler and aurora and the intriguing journey they end up on. I couldn't put it down once I started, it's a rollercoaster ride full of twists and turns that smack you bang in the face. It was definitely a intense, interesting and emotional journey. It's filled with with so much.
Their chemistry and instant connection was everything. I really liked the authors writing style and the world she built for our characters. The characters and storyline where written wonderfully.
If you haven't read this book, I recommend you do so.
A YA romance with a Mafia twist. I didn’t know what to expect with this one as this is a new to me genre and trope combo. It definitely engages you from the beginning. Young Tyler is the star in his somewhat privileged world until it all comes crashing down around him and he's left adrift and thrown into a different world. Aurora is navigating her mindfield of a life embroiled in the family business. These two have a few obstacles to overcome but their connection is undeniable.
Don't Let Go is my first read by this author and it's Tyler and Aurora's story. It's an intense, intriguing, emotional and dramatic story that gets your attention and holds on. It's a YA story with Mafia ties and reads as such. This couple without a doubt has chemistry and takes readers on quite an adventure.
I enjoyed this book, it has a good plot, but it did take me a little while to get into it. Both Aurora & Tyler have been dealt a rough hand in life but I liked seeing them try to deal with it and move on to something better. It did break my heart in one place and it dealt with some tough topics but I liked how the two of them came together and got through it.
This book had me curious. Often mafia reads involved more mature characters and the YA aspect was an intriguing one. I loved the characters and their chemistry was strong. I highly recommend this read!
This book doesn’t have much spice because it’s a YA novel, but I still really enjoyed it. If you’re looking to get into the mafia or spicy world this would be the perfect one to get your feet wet!
I loved aurora so much! And poor Tyler. I’m so glad they got their HEA! 🥰
