In the aftermath of tragedy, Adam and Kat find themselves at the helm of their acquired company, navigating a sea of grief, guilt and responsibility. While Kat embraces her newfound role with fervour, Adam struggles to find purpose amidst the chaos, his life descending into a spiral of apathy and disillusionment.
Enter Luke, an old colleague whose unexpected reappearance brings both promise and uncertainty. With the addition of Kevin, another figure from his past, Adam hopes to rebuild not only his business but also his fractured sense of self. Yet, as he delves deeper into the intricacies of his turbulent world, a series of strange occurrences begin to cast doubt on his reality.
Haunted by visions and plagued by paranoia, Adam grapples with the unsettling notion that someone — or something — is watching his every move. As his sanity unravels and those closest to him question his grasp on reality, Adam must find who or what is trying to unhinge him. But is he truly in danger, or are his fears merely figments of his imagination? Eventually, as the line between perception and reality blurs, it leaves Adam to confront his hideous and unbeknown past once and for all, before it consumes him completely.

Wow I thought the first book was good but this was way better, I loved it & was wondering how it would end but didn’t see that coming. Loved how it all tired in & how their lives were all intertwined. It started off a bit slow but soon picked up. Get this book, you will enjoy it.
It was a good read man but there are lots of unanswered questions. Like why his wife changed or if the Adam really hallucinating or the history is repeating itself where Like us taking Adam's place, having a affair with kat so he can also get the company. And that ending, it was very confusing. Also author said Luke is married but when kat heard the news about him being in hospital, she started crying while previously she was very cold hearted with other murders. I'm pretty sure she was also planning on leaving Adam while making him mad. This book was very confusing and I hope we get to see 3rd part where all the questions are answered properly.

4⭐️ Dead Ever After picks up where The Boss’s Wife left off, providing a fresh twist as Kat’s evolving character comes to the fore, again upending protagonist Adam’s life. Adam’s colleague Kevin returns, along with figures from Adam and Kat’s past, including another of Adam’s former colleagues Luke, and Kat’s parents Edwina and William. The story serves as a perfect portrayal of karma — following Adam’s questionable actions, his life spirals into confusion and uncertainty, leaving him in a constant struggle to determine who he can trust. The book ended with a classic Jack Stainton cliffhanger, and I of course, pre-ordered the final part of the trilogy immediately.
Go away, Adam. I did not find you likable in this book. And take nasty Kat with you. You both turned into mean, self-absorbed people once you took ownership of the company from Liam and Imogen. Let’s not forget about the killing spree you were on Adam, and how you were knocking off anyone who knew too much. It was sad to see how the company changed you both. I felt like the book started to spiral out of control, just like Adam. It was not as good as the first book, but we all know I’m here for it!!
