The Case of The Renegade Robot is the thirtieth book in the Tiffany Black Cases Series and is a standalone novel.
This is a light-hearted story featuring a strong female protagonist, some unusual friends and family, and a mystery that needs solving! It has no graphic gore or love scenes, or bad language
Starting out with Nanna’s strange behavior in the kitchen, to the point of locking everyone out and insisting she needs no help, the reader is both curious and hungry, especially when she announces that the dinner they all showed up for will be ready… in a few more hours. When dinner makes an explosive sound in the kitchen, Tiffany and Rosie decide it’s time to help out. They start discussing a new startup developing a robot chef that can plan menus, order the ingredients needed, and cook everything its owner requests. There would be both a professional chef model and an affordable version for everyday kitchens. (They could use one in the kitchen right now to clean up Nanna’s little disaster.) They got started cleaning up the mess and preparing the meal. But Rosie’s phone buzzed, the safe house was calling with an emergency. Her brother Max disappeared and has been missing since morning! A traffic cam showed him being driven by a stranger toward Vegas. At least they had a place to start looking for him. When Tiffany and Rosie finally returned home, Max was there sitting on the couch! He had just been bored and left the safe house to get his favorite burritos! (By now, readers had been thoroughly pulled into the story and think they can relax.) Then Max announced that there was someone in trouble, and he was the only one who can help them; so he came back to save her life! He reveals the “someone” is Emmie Patel, his former coworker, who now is working at the robot startup and thinks Russian mobsters calling themselves the Stiralshiki might be after her. Where will this mystery take them?
The author guides us through twists and turns to track down the truth underlying a very tangled murder scenario. Jimmy was Max's former coworker who had died under mysterious circumstances, possibly by Russian money launderers. Karyn was asking questions. Did Karyn know something? Then Karyn was killed! Did the robot have anything to do with that? Will Tiffany and Rosie’s investigation sort out the real perp? Or will the killer find a way to get rid of all of them? The characters will win the reader over and make you feel like part of the team! Don’t miss this one! The humor sprinkled throughout the storyline and the clever team will keep you following the case until the solution is revealed!
Tiffany and Rosie find themselves investigating a murder at a tech startup with possible ties to the Stiralshiki. Their adventure starts with dinner at Manna’s and discussion about a robot chef in development. Rosie gets a call that her brother, Max, has left the safe house where he’s been hiding from the mobsters. When they finally find Max, he reveals that his friend, Emmie, is in trouble and he wants to help her. Emmie has been moonlighting at the tech startup developing the robot and stole some critical data. She thinks her boss, Karyn is trying to kill her. Tiffany and Rosie go undercover as assistants to investors to get an inside look at the company. While there, Karyn is found murdered. The head of PR insists that the company hire them to investigate. With all evidence pointing to the robot as the culprit, Tiffany has a tricky case on her hands.
The twists and turns in this case will have you spinning along with Tiffany and friends. The behind the scenes glimpses of the startup company feel true to life along with the smoke and mirrors of both the robot demonstration and the PR campaign after the murder. Though it ties in to previous books in the series, enough background is given to enjoy it on its own. Tiffany and Rosie are the type of investigators you’d want on your side and Stone continues to be the best boyfriend. Max’s white knighting is a little over the top, but his heart is in the right place.

Max, still trying to hide from the Mob, is desperate to help his friend Emmie who is working at a tech startup where a robot chef is being developed. Tiffany and Rosie step in to help out and go undercover to find out what's really happening at Emmie's place of work. While they're there, Emmie's boss is knocked off, supposedly by the robotic chef. It's up to Tiffany and her gang to solve the case before more people are processed. This is an interesting, cozy mystery with plenty of twits and turns along the way. Looking forward to their next set of adventures.

Imagine a world where a robot cooks for you and even does the grocery shopping for you! Well, Tiffany and friends have a need to investigate the company who boasts they have created one. In an attempt to dig out if this is Russian mob related they find themselves hired to investigate the murder of the companies manager. Who hires them? The companies public relations officer. The suspect? The protocol of the cooking robot! Could this be? This is a fantastic page turner that has very interesting twists.
I love A.R. Winters ! Her books always have the right amount of humor, intrigue, mystery and murder. Who wouldn't want a robot that shops and cooks for you. Sounds like heaven on earth right? Well it is until the robot is accused of murdering someone. Max's friend Emmie is in trouble when her new boss turns up dead and everyone thinks the robot did it. Was the mob that was behind it, a disgruntled employee or someone else. Great mystery that keeps you guessing.
loved it !! love this series !! love Tiffany and Rosie... another murder but, by a robot ? Emmie is in trouble and needs help... Max will do anything to help... dragging Tiffany and Rosie... Emmie works for a new start up.. developing a robot chef... she thinks her boss is trying to kill her.. then, she's murdered and it looks like the robot did it !!! wow !! so good !!.

Just when you think Tiffany will find a normal case, it seems she and the team find themselves investigating a suspicious murder possibly involving a robot. The twists and turns to find the murderer were well done and is why this is one of my favorite series. I must say though that a cooking robot would be well-received in this household!
I really enjoy these books. I wish there were a little more actual dialogue from the character of Stone though. It's a little distracting that Tiffany makes it up in her head.
That aside, this story was enjoyable. A possible killer robot is on the loose and the bodies are piling up. These books are a light, easy read for before bed but they keep you guessing! I highly recommend this author.
A page turner that kept me up reading until the next day and then some. Tiffany and gang work to solve who's behind the vicious murders of corporate executives. Suspicious personality’s, goons , impersonators, liars mixed up, knifed and tossed around. Some don’t make it.

this was a great thirty entry in the Tiffany Black Cases series, it had that cozy mystery element going on in this world. The characters had that element that I wanted and enjoyed overall. It had that writing style that I was hoping for from A.R. Winters and was glad it was written as well as it was.

This was an interesting and fun investigation. Can a robot chef take on all cooking chores – Nanna thinks not! Tiffany and Rosie find all sorts of secrets attached to the new kitchen wonder. Really enjoyable.
I thought this was such an original story! I loved it! I also very much enjoyed seeing Max & Emmie's interactions! Another wonderful cozy mystery for Tiff, Rosie, Stone, Nana - and all the rest!!.

Dislikes= to many explanations of work, building's and robot. Too much bouncing around re killer. It's like work you must remember a lot from one chapter to another to understand the new chapter.
