Author Nova Walsh writes culinary cozy mysteries full of humor, shenanigans, and friendships that last a lifetime. She mixes in a healthy dose of amateur sleuthing, some slow-burn romance, and a pinch of comedy in every book she writes. Nova is a former chef/caterer who still loves to cook but loves to write even more. She’s an enthusiastic, if not totally successful gardener who loves travel, wine, and hanging out with friends. Nova grew up in the southwest, and now lives in Galveston, Texas, with her husband, son, and dogs. When she isn’t writing, she’s often cooking, spending time with family, or reading a good book with a pup by her side.
I enjoyed this book. I am a fan of Nova Walsh. Her Cozy mysteries are a little light reading compared to the heavier kind of books I usually read. The town of Sugar Creek has a selection of characters that make each book interesting and since Abby, the principal character is trying to get a catering business going, there are lots of interesting recipe ideas in the books. There are also two handsome men, Ryan the sheriff who is Abby's love interest and Ty, his deputy that of Abby's best friend, Cassie plus a cute little dog and an adorable aunt. What's not to enjoy in a little vacation with Nova Walsh's books? I also enjoy her other series.
y. Lots of surprises. I was torn between who I actually thought murdered Margie but I got it right. After Wade was released I was thinking it was Linda but as the story unfolded my money was on Evelyn. Once again great job on well written story Nora Walsh. I consider you the Queen of cozy Mysteries.
