After witnessing a horrific double homicide, nanny Taylor Templeton calls Flynn Ryerson, the only cop she knows. Despite their personality differences, she trusts Flynn to keep her safe. Breathtaking action and endearing characters

Taylor is up feeding her baby charge Max when she hears glass shattering and 4 shots fired. While hiding in the closet with Max, she texts Flynn who she met previously. He calls 911 and comes racing to her rescue. After getting her out of there, someone keeps trying to kill her. Can they stay safe and figure out what is actually going on?

The pace is breakneck and the tone is intense with an action and character oriented storyline that has a few kisses. The characters are vibrant and engaging. The Christian ideals are woven into the story. Read at least this series in order. But if you want to read these Milwaukee action romances all in chronological order, read SWAT Top Cops first in order, then Callahan Confidential, then Finnegan First Responders before this series in order. You will see how they all intertwine.

Awesome read. The book had a great plot, lots of suspense, and great characters. Flynn especially was a great and likable character. He didn't see himself as handsome or attractive to women, was somewhat of a slob, and wasn't the typical self assured hero....yet he was a hero. He and Taylor were great together.

This story had a great plot, likeable characters, suspense, and twists and turns. I enjoyed the romance that developed between Flynn and Taylor as they and the tactical team protect Taylor.

Enjoyable as ever

Always can rely upon the faith of the Finnegan family. Also, the author always manages to keep the final pieces of the puzzle until the end.

Repetitive story line

I love Laura's writing and this series but the story line is very repetitive; victim, hero, moving from safe place to safe place, then victory.

This seemed like a repeat of Grayson's story but executed slightly better.
