The Cthulhu Heresy and Other Lovecraftian Sins

Cthulhu doesn’t live here any more . . .

From the distant past to the far future. From the depths of the darkest ocean to the empty spaces between galaxies. From war-torn Arkham down the stairs to Deepest Slumber. From seedy bookstores to shining starships.

Pete Rawlik is proud to present twenty-seven tales of the Lovecraftian horrors that haunt the universe and the men, women, and cats that choose, for better or worse, to take a stand against them.

Lovecraft!

This book is a must read for anyone who is interested in the mythos. The stories inside are written by fans of the mythos and they are all good stories.

Hopefully l will discover more books like this anthology. I am in love with the Cthulhu Mythos. Five stars.

Solid Collection

"The Cthulhu Heresy" is an anthology of Peter Rawliks mythos stories, and they are based around the idea that the Great Old Ones/Outer God's really don't care about the Earth at all, as opposed to stories where they wake up and intentionally try to cause widespread destruction, or simply remain sleeping.
Most of the stories in this collection are great, and even the ones I personally didn't care for were good in their own right.
My only complaint is that there isn't really any adherence to his own lore in these stories, but that's understandable given the years between publication for them.

Unexpectedly good mythos stories

I didn't know anything about the author before reading this collection so my expectations were low. The range is surprisingly wide and the subjects of the stories and the variety of viewpoints that are explored really impressed me.
While I didn't enjoy the earlier stories as much as the later ones, overall it's very good.

Boring

Boring, list.ess, uninteresting stories with dull tropes. The whole book was uninspiring and bland. The numerous cat stories are the worst.
