July 11, 2025This is in many ways an ambitious book. I found myself wanting the same book but framed a bit differently. As it is, the book is broad and all-encompassing, and the concept of pattern is a bit inexact. I wanted more of chapter 2 (what is a pattern?) and more of what comes at the end of chapter 10 (how does this concept of pattern relate to schemas, concepts, mental representation formats, or other psychological posits?) That said, the book provides a basis for doing more of this work. I suspect I will reference from time to time for my own work.
